Once there was a country called Valencia which was divided into two kingdoms by a war. The two kingdoms were Euryele in the East and Alastar in the West. The war lasted for two decades until they finally held a truce, but even though the war had ended, the two kingdoms still held deep grudges against each other in the next thousand years.
An oracle who lived a century before the war prophesied that war will divide the land and twins will be born from a Eurylanian guardian and an Alastarian prince that would either bring peace or destruction of both kingdoms.
It came to pass that on the 1000th year after the war, an Alastarian prince wandered in the mystical forest between the borders of the two kingdoms. There he met the guardian of The Sacred Lake of Blancnoir. The Alastarian prince was captured by her beauty and wanted to know her. Even though the Prince knew that getting to know her was forbidden of him, he still went to the forest every single day to be with the beautiful guardian. It turned out that the guardian of the Blancnoir was a princess in the Kingdom of Euryele which was in charge of Lake Blancnoir.
The lovers were blessed by the spirit who protected the land and bestowed them with gifts: two magical crystal necklaces of protection and children. The prophecy was fulfilled when twins were born from their union - a boy they named Basil, and a girl, they named Astra. To protect them, the twins were separated after birth. Basil would become the heir to the throne of Alastar and Astra would become the new guardian of the Sacred Lake of Blacnoir. Their parents gave each of them a magical crystal necklace that glow when the other is near, so they will recognize each other when the time comes for them to meet.
As the years passed and the twins grew, all they had as a proof that they were born with a twin and can recognize each other was the magical crystal necklaces from their parents. Little did they know that they would be the ones to choose Euryele and Alastar's fate. The wheel of fate will soon turn. Will it be peace or destruction? Light or Dark?
