They looked at my confused. Was this really all the doctor and nurse was able to do? Other than talk extremely fast. I looked right back at them with a you-know-what-I-slowly-said kind of look. The doctore turned to the nurse and said something which, once again, I didn't understand. She rushed out of the room and came back in a matter of minutes, with a pad and paper. She placed it on my lap. Then I remembered. I'm left handed. And since my luck isn't going my way today, that was the arm covered in bandages that hurt every time I moved even a little bit. So I took the pencil from my lap and sloppily wrote the first thing I should tell them;

I'm Deaf.

Now you have no idea how long it took for me to write it. It was really messy looking and I wouldn't be surprised if the people standing next to me wouldn't be able to read it. They looked at it for a bit longer. I really hated how they just stared and looked. It reminded me of the Twilight saga. The doctor once again turned to the nurse and said something I didn't understand. No surprise there. She ran out once more and came back with another woman. The newcomer took one look at me and nodded. Then she waved. I waved back with my right hand.

What's your name?

She asked me in sign. I let out a sigh of relief. Now I could possibly talk to these people! Instead of just having them stare at me, wondering who the heck I was. I spelled out my name.

Nice to meet you. Can you speak?

She signed. I shook my head. There was a movement of the doctor. I looked at him and I saw him say, "But she did! That's how she got us to give her the paper!"

NO! I signed, It's h-a-r-d.

I had to fingerspell hard, because ine hand was bandaged. And you need two hands for that sign. The tranlator told the doctor what I said. I stared daggers at him as she did.

I didn't really like this guy.
