Jamie's POV

What had just happened, I honestly could not believe. Ethan had just walked past me completely ignoring me. He'd obviously heard me, which made me question why he'd acted like I was oblivious to him.

Sure, we hadn't spoken in a while or seen each other for at least two years but I kinda of expected maybe at least a 'hey.'

Nope, not even that. That stupid coin was right.

I called out his name and tried again, "Ethan!"

Ethan's friend turned around giving me a queer look, but with the a quick, sharp turn of the head he continued to walk and trail behind Ethan.

So I wasn't being overdramatic. Ethan was purposely ignoring me and I had absolutely no clue why.

Maybe he didn't recognise me? I still had my face buried in my hair which may of made me a little hard to distinguish. He'd obviously changed a lot, so maybe I had too?

Still, he could of had the decency to turn after hearing his name being called.

I turned my head back towards me locker still in disbelief and confusion as to what had just happened.

Maybe I'd confront him another time when he was alone or if he happened to be one of my classes, I silently thought to myself.

Without anymore distractions, I slammed my locker door and headed to my first class of the day, Maths.

Great.

Maths was just something I really couldn't get my head around. I constantly was always overthinking things, and when it came to numbers and equations my brain just got jumbled or otherwise I'd get distracted by something else. Or someone else.

Well that seemed to be the case today.

Of course he happened to be in my class. This was all too coincidental for my liking.

I awkwardly walked in the class and scanned the room for any free seats. There was one up the front of the room, right in front of the teachers desk. No thanks.

And one right next to Ethan's friend...

I sighed to myself before approaching the free seat. I put my stuff down on the desk suddenly realising that it was to good to be true.

"Uh sorry, I'm saving this desk from someone." The brown-haired boy said in quite a low and husky voice.

"That's alright." I mumbled, picking up my belongings and heading right to the front of the room.

Before I left, I noticed Ethan turn his head slightly to see what all the fuss was about. He locked eyes with me for a second, and then quickly looked away blinking his eyes furiously.

Okay? What the hell did that mean? He obviously did recognise me, but something still wasn't right.

"Morning Class."

I turned my head to face the voice of a young, male looking teacher as he strolled in the room casually. I quickly sat down, realising that I was still standing up.

Real smooth Jamie. Trying to fit in, yet you're still obviously the outcast.

I tried to concentrate on the what he was saying, yet another distraction was brought upon me. The door of the classroom swung wide open making a loud noise as it hit the concrete wall.  Everyone abruptly turned their heads at once.

There stood the other member of Ethan's little 'gang.' The black haired boy. He looked sort of awkward and embarrassed as the whole of the classes's attention was entirely focused on him. He sent a cute smile in the direction of the teacher, "Sorry I'm late."
