Chris's POV

"Are you sure this is a good idea?" I looked at Jakob skeptically, trying to figure out what was actually happening in the room between Jamie and Ethan.

"Maybe we should unlock the door?" Jakob suggested, still trying to get a glance of any movement between Ethan and Jamie.

"Alright if you want to." I shrugged.

Jakob went to the door and fiddled round with the lock until it made a loud 'click' noise, then returned to the same spot as before, standing next to me. We both tried to peer in the window of the small granny flat having no clue as to what was going on between both Ethan and Jamie.

BANG.

I backed away from the window as an infuriated Jamie stormed out of the room slamming the door firmly shut behind her. She looked so angry and frustrated and I truly wondered how she could look so pretty when she was mad.

A second later Ethan popped out of the room with his fists curled up and a slightly angry look that played across his face.

I wasn't sure if the pair of them were more angry at each other,  or actually their own selves.

"Something tells me that locking them in that room was not a good idea." Jakob noted, sounding like he was trying to hold back a laugh.

"Gee, ya think Jake?" I spoke in my uttermost sarcastic voice as possible.

Jakob opened his mouth as though he wanted to say something important right there and then, but then quickly closed it presumably thinking that he should maybe keep whatever he was thinking to himself.

He was right though. We'd probably made things worse between the two of them than they already were. And who had come up with the 'genius' idea of locking both Ethan and Jamie in the same room? Both Jake and I, of course.

As I was about to speak again, we were suddenly interrupted by Isabelle and Emma.

"Have you seen Ethan?" Emma asked, with a small frown appearing on her face.

"Yeah he went that way." I said neutrally, pointing in the direction that he took off in.

"Are you sure?" Emma questioned sounding hesitant.

"Uh yeah? Why wouldn't I be?" I raised an eyebrow at her.

"Alright well thanks." She muttered, disappearing in the span of only a few seconds.

As I watched her take off, I realised that Isabelle was standing between both Jakob and I, "She hasn't seen Ethan in over an hour and she's freaking out because she thinks that he's avoiding her." Isabelle explained to Jakob.

"Makes sense for her to be worried." Jakob smiled lazily at Isabelle.

I internally groaned at his attempt to show-off or flirt- whatever the hell he was doing to try and impress Isabelle. They both were staring at each other for what felt like a dozen years, so I elbowed Jakob in the ribs to snap out of it.

"Hey I was wondering would..." Jakob began, staring at his feet. He then eventually took the courage to draw his eyes away from his feet and look at Isabelle in the eyes, "Would you maybe want to dance?"
