Chapter 13 | The Truth

Ethan's POV

School the next day was crazy. The amount of attention me and the boys got was insane and totally unexpected. Several girls walked past me with a small congratulation or sweet comment. Even a few asked for an autograph or signature which was something I found really weird, but pretty cool at the same time.

"Guys this is the start of something big." Jakob let out a small grin, trying to control his excitement as we moved away from the crowd of people who were surrounding us.

"I wasn't expecting it to turn out like this though..." Chris trailed off, as his eyes gazed off in thought.

"Yeah me too." I murmured in agreement, "My Instagram literally blew up last night with notifications."

"Same, I gained like thousands of followers." Jakob pulled out his phone as he scrolled through his account with a new notification popping up literally every second.

"I literally can't get this through my head." Chris shook his head, looking kind of distant like he was in another world or something.

"Get used to it." Jakob patted his shoulder, "This boys is our beginning to fame."

We all sort of gave an awkward cheer and exchanged excited glances amongst one another. Man, we were probably the most awkward celebrities to walk the planet.

I couldn't even contemplate what being an A-list celebrity would be like. All the people that I saw on TV and in big hot-shot movies all seemed to live perfect lives with unlimited cash and everything they ever wanted. That would ultimately be the dream, but unfortunately that life would have to wait a while for now. I had a geography class that I was really not looking forward to.

"Ethannnn." Emma's voice dragged out my name as she hugged me from behind.

"Hey Em." I cooed lightly as I turned around to face her. Her honey, blonde hair hung loosely around her shoulders and her eyes sparkled her familiar sparkle. I couldn't stop myself from kissing her on the lips- she just had this thing about her that just made me want to kiss me all the time.

"We'll go ahead and save you a spot in Geography." Jakob said quickly as he sized up me me and Emma before walking off with Chris.

I smirked, as I shifted my eyes back towards Emma and tucked a loose bit of hair behind her ear.

"So what's it like being famous?"

"Huh?" I asked, her question catching me completely off guard.

"I saw you get mobbed with girls this morning." She said, her glittering eyes looking quite depressed and sullen

"Oh you did?" I said, lowering the tone of my voice. "I guess it's very new to me and all..."

"Yeah, just be careful alright. I don't want to loose you among them-"

"I'm not planning of letting go of you anytime soon." I smiled while and grabbed her two hand and held them in my own. I think Emma really needed a bit of a confidence boost right now since she her parents were going through quite a rough patch at the moment and almost on the verge of divorce.

Emma wasn't one to normally hide things from me. She was always open and loved to share things, so whenever she wanted to speak about her parents relationship I always listened.
