Jamie's POV

"One hundred and eighty dollars." Chris announced as he carefully looked over all the money that was laying in his guitar case.

"And ten cents." I smirked holding up the last silver piece of money.

"This is insane! I've never earned this much..." Chris confessed as his eyes lit up in awe, "Of course you get half of the share."

"Chris you don't have to do that!" I told him.

At first, the idea of earning money seemed like a good one to me... But after actually busking with Chris, it was the last thing in my mind. The real thrill of busking was energising get people as they walked by. Getting them to actually stop, watch and listen to the music for even a split second and give you maybe a half-decent smile as they continued to walk on and carry on with their day. It was comforting and definitely made me happy at the thought that maybe you could brighten up someone's day.

"I wouldn't of even made more than half of this without you." Chris looked up innocently as he took his eyes away from the money.

"Yeah well I was happy to do this free of service and just to help out and have some fun."

"Jamie-"

"This isn't up for argument Chris!" I punched him playfully on the shoulder. It plainly obvious that he didn't agree with me or believe me at all, but he remained silent and didn't carry the argument any further.

"Hey what's this?" I noticed a scrunched up piece of paper right in the corner of Chris's guitar case and picked it up to see if it had anything in it.

I practically snorted in laughter as I read the delicate, cursive handwriting out loud: hey you're really cute, you should text me sometime x

And then it had the girl's number below with little love hearts drawn all over it.

Chris smirked, "Give me a look."

He grabbed the paper of me as he read it to himself silently with a small smile beginning to form on his lips.

"Maybe this note was supposed to be for you."

I have him my most sarcastic glare possible, "Yeah, do you really think with the neat handwriting and the love hearts-"

"Okay, okay!" Chris laughed, raising his hands in surrender.

"You can't deny that you are a chick magnet." I sighed, grabbing the little note back of him and putting it aside

"Excuse me?"

"Oh come on, don't act all innocent and pretend that you don't already know."

"But I don't know?"

I rolled my eyes sarcastically. Boys could just be really clueless sometimes. As if Chris didn't notice all the long-gazing stares and looks he got from all the girls in the classroom whenever he walked in. You couldn't be oblivious to that kind of attention, unless you were someone who went under the name of 'Ethan Karpathy' and chose to ignore specific people behind me with no reasoning behind it.

"Do you find me attractive?" Chris asked, completely out of the blue.

"Excuse me!?"
