{Emily's POV}
I walk around school for a minute before I give up. I can't find Luke anywhere. I walk outside to the sidewalk to see if his car is still here. Sure enough, it's still in the same place as this morning. I start to wonder what happened when Michael walks up. He gives me a weird look opening his mouth to speak.
"Where is Luke?" He asks, looking at me in the eyes. I almost get lost in his eyes before snapping back to reality. I take a deep breathe. What are these feelings? I never get nervous talking to Michael.
"I'm really not sure." I say as I look down at my feet. He gently giggles. "I can give you a ride home Emily. We are supposed to have practice this afternoon anyway." He smiles at me with hope in his eyes. I nod. His smile grows as he leads me to his car.
"So how's your day been?" He questions as I settle in for this short ride home. "It's been okay I guess. I haven't seen Kathryn or Luke much today now that I think about it. I haven't seen much of anyone actually. Austin hasn't followed me around like usual." I say as I start to think about today. "How about your day?" I politely ask. "My day? Well it's been okay but right now it's even better." He smiles over at me. I quietly giggle in response.

No one is home when we get there. Lovely. I sigh as I pull my backpack from the floorboard. "Would you like to stay with me?" I look over at Michael. He smiles widely. "I'd love to." He replies as he pulls the keys from the ignition. I smile as I dig out my house key from my purse. I walk to the door and unlock it. I set my backpack down then slid off my black high top converse. Michael also removes his shoes by the door. Mom doesn't like when we track anything all over the house.
"I'm going to go change shirts really quickly. I'm already over this blouse." I smile at Michael before quickly walking down the hall to my room.
I walk in then shut my door. I place my purse and phone down on my desk. I slide my socks into my dirty clothes hamper. I go over to my closet. I sigh. I decide on an All Time Low shirt I've had for a while. I slide my purple blouse over my head along with the black tank top under it. I then pull the All Time Low shirt over my head.
I walk in my bathroom and brush my hair. I look in the mirror for a second before sighing. I don't love what I see. My makeup is somewhat fading from its long day. I run my fingers through my hair before I exit the bathroom. I grab my phone and head to the living area where I find Michael sitting on the couch.
He looks up from his phone and his eyes brighten. I smile lightly. "You're back!" He squeals excitedly. My smile widens. I plop down beside him on the couch. He places his phone on the coffee table then turns to me. "You look pretty good in that All Time Low shirt." He laughs out.
"Don't be rude." I giggle. For some reason Michael is making me feel different than normal. I can't exactly put my finger on it. I just keep smiling like an idiot.
"It was a compliment!" He shouts defensively. "Oh right?" I sarcastically scoff. "Since when has the lovely Michael Clifford thought I looked pretty good?" I laugh at him.
He smiles. "You wouldn't know because I've never said it before. It might've been a while now." He says as he scoots closer to me.
"Oh?" I say as my breath starts catching in my throat. "Honestly, you're very beautiful, no matter what you wear. I've thought that for a while now. I haven't had a chance to say it. I'm always afraid Luke will kill me if I ever mention his sister and somewhat liking her." Michael sighs.
"I'm sorry Mikey. I think you're pretty adorable. You just have to speak up with me because I don't think I catch on very well to things." I smile as I gently place my hand on his shoulder. "Good to know." He smiles as he slides his hand onto my neck. He keeps scooting closer. I get nervous but I follow suit. I place my other hand on his other shoulder. He smiles before leaning in.
