{Emily's POV}

"I know! Hush, I'm telling a story! So anyway, I was watching people, then I realized that I don't like girls!! Emily I am gay! I do not want to be with a girl. I have been thinking about this for a while and ignoring it! I finally accepted it! Isn't this a great day," Austin excitedly continues very rapidly.

"Wow, Austin! I don't know what to say! That is awesome." I smile widely as he quickly calms down.

"Thank you for accepting me! I will see you later, bye Em!" He happily skips to the door and leaves.

"Michael!" I shout as I walk towards my room. Shit people live here. I need to remember to be quiet sometimes.

I walk into my room to find nothing. It was empty. I walk into the kitchen to find Michael with random food hanging out of his mouth as he looks at the pantry in despair.

"You people really need to go to the store," he sighs. "So how about we go get some McDonald's or something?"

"Sounds good to me," I state as I shrug. I really am not all that hungry, but I know how Michael is. He is always hungry.

"Let's go!" He exclaims as we walk towards the door.

"Do I need shoes?" I sigh in disbelief as I look down at my worn converse.

"No." He smiles at the joy that comes across my face with that. I hate putting on shoes. It is way too much trouble.

We get into Michael's car and he does not even bother cutting the radio on. He is straight to questions.

"So what did Austin want?" He continues looking at the road in front of him.

"He just wanted to tell me something that he had discovered something within himself," I giggle.

"What is that supposed to mean? Is the dude gay or something," Michael snickers at the thought. "That would be a little bit of a plot twist, and it would make me look really bad." He laughs.

"Then I guess you look really bad," I start laughing along.

"Wait-," silence falls in the car," is he really gay?"

"That is what he told me." I state as I look over at him. There was a genuine look of surprise on his face. I did not expect that. "Are you genuinely surprised?"

"Very."

"What? Why?"

"I always felt like he had feelings for you. He is the reason I held in my feelings for you so long. I was always convinced that he liked you and that you two were dating." He pauses as reaches his hand over and gently places it on my thigh. "I never thought that it would come to him being gay. I was definitely certain you two were going to date. I had never been so certain of anything. Then you surprised me."

"Michael, I never looked at him like that. I never really had looked much into dating, but you turned that around for me. I was never so sure of anything until we were together. Now that we are together, I'm certain that this is exactly what I want. You are exactly who I want to be with." I place my hand on his hand that is on my thigh. "No one could take me away from you, Mikey." I smile over at him. He glances at me very quickly before remembering he is driving. He quickly returns his eyes to the road.

"I love you, baby," he states rather quietly. What? Did he just say that?

I can feel the blood rush to my cheeks. "Awww I love you too sweetie." I can not hold back my smile.

The rest of the ride is pretty silent. I just decide to only get a frozen coffee while Michael orders half the menu like always. I decide to steal a few of his fries though. We make it back to the house after a while more of silence. It was comfortable silence though. I am thankful for that.

We run into the house rather loudly. We decide to go back into my room since we don't know where anyone else in my family is. Michael, of course, focuses on his food while I ramble on about a whole lot of nothing.

That really seems to be a common thing in our relationship. Michael eats a lot and I always just talk while he eats. I'm never certain whether I am bothering him or not, but he has never once told me to shut up. I'm very thankful that we have the relationship we do. I'm thankful to have him. He is the cutest, cuddliest thing in my life. Outside of my family, he, Austin, and Kathryn mean the most to me. I'm thankful the air is now very very clear with Austin, hopefully. I don't want anymore arguments. Those are bad. I realize I was rambling on while getting lost in thought.

"I'm going to be honest, I have no idea what I just said. I was definitely lost in my mind for the last half of that."

Michael laughs a little then snorts some of his drink up his nose. I also did not realize he was drinking when I said that.

"Oh my gosh! Are you okay?!" I start to freak out. That is usually very painful when you snort caffeinated drinks up your nose.

"No worries, I'm fine. You just made me laugh. You were going on this huge rant about how dogs aren't appreciated enough then you just say you have no idea what you were talking about. You are the most random person I know, Emily Hemmings." He smiles at me as he continued to eat.

"Whoopsy daisies," I smile mockingly. "How much food do you have left to eat? I'm bored!"

"You are so needy. One second it's dogs, next it's oh I am lost, then you're bored. Make up your mind woman!"

"I will never make up my mind. I will, however, continue to ramble on stupidly."

"I can't even pretend I'm mad about your silly ramble ability. I think it's adorable." I can tell how awkward he is while complimenting me, and I think it is adorable.

"I think you are adorable, Michael Clifford," I giggle. "I never say your full name like that. It sounds wrong. I prefer calling you Mikey."

He smiles and continues eating.

"Anyway, where was I on my rant about how dogs are under appreciated?"

"You were-" I cut him off.

"I was about to say that they are happiness! Have you never had a dog who was so excited to see you when you walked into your house so it made everything better? Dogs seriously are taken for granted, and I do not know what humans did to deserve them!"

"Sometimes I wonder what I did to deserve you." Michael flashes his little cheeky grin.

"Why are you so cute?" I smile at him as he gets up to take his trash to the kitchen because he knows I hate garbage in my room.

He returns a minute later with nothing. He gently shuts my bedroom door behind him as he walks into the room. He just walks over to the bed where I am sitting and plops down by me.

"You're beautiful." He says as he pulls me into a kiss.

I just smile against his lips as it slowly intensifies. He pulls me onto his lap and I wrap my legs around his torso.

"I think this is all we do anymore," I say as he trails kisses down my neck.

"That's okay," he gets out between kisses.

I just pull him back to lips as we continue. Suddenly, I hear someone at the door and jump off of him. I am most likely pale a ghost right now as my mother walks into the room.

"Michael! I didn't know you were here sweetie," she innocently smiles at us.

"Yes ma'am," he smiles back at her.

"What are you kids up to?" She raises her eyebrow at me in a threatening way.

"Nothing much, just kinda talking." I smile.

"I'm not stupid," she says as she winks and walks off.

"Did she really just?" I turn to Michael.

"I think she did." He faces me.

"I guess she wasn't disapproving," I laugh back.

"You're terrible," he says as he places another kiss on my lips.

I fall back onto the bed and he does the same. I snuggle into his side as he wraps around me, and soon we are both asleep.
