{Kathryn's POV}
The bell rings ending the last period of the day for everyone. I decide to get my books before meeting up with Emily.
Today is my first lesson with the "unknown" tutor. Emily has yet to tell me the person's name, but there's about 300 people in each grade so I doubt I'll know the person.
I grab my books and shut the door. Behind the door I find a smiling cheeky Ashton Irwin. "Hi Kathryn."
"Hi Ashton." I smile back at him.
"I realized that we had never really met. Other than Luke being rude and kicking you at of the house." He scoffs. "I'm sorry about that."
"It's fine. You never know what you're going to get with Luke. Nice to meet you." I laugh
"And you the same." He smiles showing off his perfect teeth. "Those books look heavy. Let me help you out."
"I can handle it." But Ashton refuses and takes the books out of my hand.
"I insist." He says. "Where are you headed?"
"Over to Emily's house."
"I can take you." We walk side by side down the hallway.
"Oh no, I'm not gonna let you do that. I'm perfectly capable of walking."
"Walking! You aren't walking to her house. That's a good 3 miles." He shakes his head and pulls his keys out of his pocket.
"Ashton..."
"Nope...I'm taking you to her house. Nothing you say can stop me." He smirks.
"Fine." I sigh and smile. I text Emily and tell her to meet me and Ashton in the parking lot. We go to his car and he puts my stuff in the backseat.
"You can sit in the front." He opens the door for me. I giggle and sit down.
He goes around the car and seats in the drivers seat. He looks at me and smiles.
"What are you looking at?" I laugh.
"You." He says flatly. I feel my cheeks heat up.
He laughs. "Sorry that was weird."
"It's okay." I look at him. "I guess I'm just not used to guys staring at me."
"I don't know why not." He sighs.
"What do you mean?" I ask confused.
"You're beautiful. Why wouldn't guys look at you?" He smiles.
I'm at a loss for words. Ashton just said I was beautiful. The only guy that has ever called me that was my ex in California, that's it. Sure my mom has called me that and my friends, but I'm not used to hearing that from just any guy. Especially not Ashton Irwin.
The sound of the backdoor opening interrupts my thoughts.
"Hi guys!"
Ashton clears his throat. "Hi Em!"
"Thanks for the ride Ashton. My brother was being a butt and said that I could walk home today."
"No problem. Luke has better sorta off lately." He smiles.
The drive to Emily's house is short and quiet. Before we know it we're in front of her house and Ashton is unlocking the doors.
Emily gets out and thanks Ashton before closing the door. I reach over to open the door, but Ashton stops me before I can pull the handle. "Wait Kathryn, take this." He pulls out a little sheet of paper and hands it to me. I unfold it and a number is written on it.
