Black Cat: Origin

As Midoriya placed me down to check on my condition, he noticed the glowing horn on my forehead. I looked at him trying to check reality. We made it out. We did it. I was free from that prison and outside in my real form. However, that was short lived when he felt the pain thrusting on his left side. Crouching on the floor in pain, Midoriya raised his hand just to see blood seeping from his uniform.

"Midoriya! Are you okay?"
"Wha- what is this and why do I feel like I can't move?"
"Perks of having the powerful quirk." A voice chuckled through the smoke screen.

Midoriya, hearing this familiar voice, stood in front of me blocking me away from his eyesight. Black Cat, who was fighting Overhaul earlier, looked at Midoriya with his sword, covered in red. In fear, I thought he killed Overhaul to the point, my horn got a bit bigger, making my body look uglier.

"What power are you talking about?" He asked, glaring at Black.
"My quirk: Marionette. It allows me to control you. Just like how I controlled Overhaul for good. And what's even better, I even have the ability to take away what's most precious to them and eliminate it. Now... Hand over the brat. She's coming with me."

Using Black's power, Midoriya felt his body moving by force, but he stopped and looked at my uglier version of myself. He still had a strong mind, but he knew: if I end up in his grasp, I'll never be free from him.

"If you want her so bad, you will have to go through me." He declared, picking me up, and tying the red cape that Mirio had ripped for me earlier.
"Don't worry. I'll have her one way or another. That cut has already taken control of your body. So, within a few minutes... you'll be in my control for good."

As he said that, Midoriya began to ache in pain. Seeing that he is losing control within seconds, I used my quirk to slow down the process.

"Tempus morae!" I enchanted, allowing his control to cease at the exact moment.

However, as I noticed that his control wasn't stopping, I was confused. Why wasn't my power stopping his moves? My brother, seeing my quirk not overriding his power, started to laugh hysterically.

"You think your quirk can stop my own?! Don't make me laugh, sister! You know better than anyone that you were always weak! Even when you were born!"
"Stop it!" Midoriya called out as he slowly got up in pain. "She's not weak... She's stronger than you could ever be..."
"Oh? And you think you know better? Have you ever seen what she was like without her powers?! What she was like before she owned a quirk?!"

***BLACK CAT'S FLASHBACK***

He recalled the situation all that well: seeing our parents treat myself weak and worthless that he admired this pathetic side. He recalled how worthless they saw me with my ugly hair and horn growing on my head. It was to the point he ended up treating me worse as well. One day...

"Ow! That hurt!" I cried out to him as he pulled my hair.
"Oh yeah? Why don't you use your quirk to heal yourself?"
"I... uh..."
"Oh~ That's right. You don't have one!"
"Why are you being so mean to me?"
"Because... Brat... you deserve all that is coming to you."
"No... I don't!"
"You do now."

Pushing her down, he walked out of the home and towards the streets to do as he wanted. He was blessed with a quirk of Marionette, but he wanted to test out what could possess someone in his disposal. However, that same day, as he was returning home, he saw how the home was broken down and no one was home, not even his parents, who he saw their dead bodies overnight, but I was nowhere in sight.

He felt so broken thinking that everyone left him until he saw me again in a new beautiful form and that similar smile years later. Enraged, he was angry at me, gripping his fist tight. Why was she happy with this new life and he was left alone?!

"She's nothing but a powerful wimp who has no ability to stop me!"
"You don't know anything!" Midoriya spoke up, holding me close. "You don't know the pain of being all alone with no friend in the world! You resented the one who you thought had all. But in the end, she probably felt alone as well: seeing all her family gone, no one who could help her."
"Spoken like someone who knows nothing of her!"
"True, but... I know what it's like to feel like to have nothing. To have no one in your corner to help. Her quirk isn't a curse. It's a gift. And she should be proud to own one of her own!"

Hearing his words, I felt tears beginning to pour from my eyes. This kid... was treating me like... a friend, not a hero... He truly was special. With my power, I spoke once more:

"Curatio Sanationis!" I called out, aiming at the cut once more.
"I told you, you can't stop the process!" Black Cat shouted out.
"...who said I was stopping it?"

He then looked down as he saw the cut slowly healing itself.

"I see... you're delaying my plan. Well, two can play it that way!"

Using the power he still contained from Overhaul, he transformed into a giant monster, standing over him and I. Midoriya, seeing the healing technique, looked at me.

"Hey... would you lend me your power? If we work together, we can defeat him."
"But how? With his experience, he could defeat me all at once if he wanted to."
"But he doesn't know how to defeat mine."
"I just... I don't know if we can."
"All Might once told me, a few years ago: 'If you can just believe in yourself, you yourself can become a hero.' And for him... to tell you that you can't, knows that you're stronger than what you need to be."
"I'm stronger...?"

I then thought of the moment I was taught by Sir Nighteye a few years back.

"I can't do it, Papa..." my younger self replied.
"Yes you can."
"But I tried... it's not working."

At the time when I was starting my power training, I was trying to speak a spell in Latin, but I had no power pushed through it. Just then, Sir Nighteye came to me and knelt next to me with a smile.

"Because your resolve isn't strong enough. I believe in you. Do you believe in you?"
