Author Note:

Hello everyone, this is my first fiction. I am a new writer so please be kind, and tell me what you think! I will also have my own blog updating chapters, so If you can't find it here. It will most likely be on there. So please stick around! I hope to please.

In the future, I will be editing this draft to add the punctuation for speech. So don't worry. It won't always be this annoying.  Without further adieu!

Chapter 1 – This is my ‘Normal’

I pulled my trench coat tighter around my body, trying to block out the cold and the damp.  The ally way was spacious; I think I can cut though here. Carefully I looked over my shoulder, listened for footsteps on the wind. Seems I have lost them.

I proceeded forward carefully, but quickly. It was never a good idea to remain exposed to long. Increasing pace, I turned up my collar against the mist that began to fall. Then I heard something and quickly stopped. I looked behind me. Nothing.

I quickened my pace and went forward, and then from behind a dumpster one of them jumped, blocking my departure from the alley.

-Hey girly, on your way home?

-I thought I lost you back at the carnival…I suggest you go back there before I’m forced to send you to your plot.

Another voice, -Sweets, you thought you could get away that easily? Just waltz in to my property, and waltz right out with not even a scratch? After what you took from me? Me and the guys want pay back.

I suddenly found myself surrounded. Of course, they must have been following me back, looking for the perfect place to trap me. The best defense though, is to not reveal your full strength and skill to anyone. They would surely underestimate me.

-Oh I’m sorry Antonio, honey, are you missing something?

-You know what you got you sticky fingered minx, and I want it back.

-Oh perchance is this what you mean? I turned to him, pulling a large heavy pink diamond necklace from my under my coat neck.

-There it is!! Guys! Get her!

I turned and ran at the guy by the dumpster, just as another guy grabbed my arm from behind, I kicked at the guy in front of me knocking him down, and twisted the guy behind me over my head and to the ground. They both groan on the ground. The others skidded to a halt.

~Two down, two to go. The other two

-Eh eh geez dollface, careful with my men!

-Oh the way you’re careful with your ladies? You sleazy scum bag!

- Gino! Cristo! How could you let this little princess get to youse guys?

I may be slim and dainty looking on the outside, years of martial arts and self defense classes paid off on the inside. Thank you freaky over protective father of mine!

-Paulie, Angelo what do youse think your doin'? Do I pay you to stand around gaping at people?!?!  Get your asses over there and get my rose diamond!

The goons name Paulie and Angelo hesitantly stepped forward.

-Oh common guys, not scared of me are you? It takes two to tango, and I’m waiting to dance. Common, I won’t bite. As for anything else, I can’t promise you.

They looked at each other, and Paulie made the first lunge to grab my right shoulder. I grabbed his hand with my left dodged him and pushed him the way he was going into the ally wall behind me. Pinning him there, I pulled out my stowed knife from my thigh, and held it up to the side of his neck.
