What if Suleiman and Gulfem rekindled their romance and had a daughter

As a mother it broke the heart of Valide sultan when she witnessed her beloved son upset when he exiled the women he loved, or assumed he loved

Yet valide Ayşe Hafsa knew that it was just a spell that red haired concubine put on her lion. Rose tinted glasses concealing reality from him and forcing him astray. She'd have to fix this immediately or the dynasty would collapse and nightmares would begin for everyone.

So she at first started sending him beautiful woman from the harem like candy to a baby, she sent blond woman, dark haired woman. Bold flirty woman and shy woman. Yet nothing worked, he either sent them away or didn't even allow them in. The one he did allow In however left in tears as he'd moaned the name 'Hurrem' whilst bedding her.

Curse that red haired witch who led her child astray and into darkness. Curse her wickedness and dark spells as she still had hold of her sultan son even though she was in exil.

After days of trying to figure out what she should do, (she even set Mahidevran and that failed as she'd expected) Ayşe Hafsa decided to follow her gut feeling and send the woman suleiman had fallen for first. The one he still held affection for and respected.

So Hafsa began her mission through out the next few months. She had a plan in motion and she was determined to succeed no matter what. She'd cast out this evil from her sweet sons life and pave the way for suleiman to return to his senses.

Suleiman had at first been hesitate doubting his mother and her intentions. How it broke her heart seeing her lion doubting her, how it ached her soul. Yet she comforted herself with the knowledge that she was saving him from disaster

She started by inviting her son to dinner and breakfast in her chambers with Gulfem. This routine lasted a few weeks. In order for suleiman not to catch on to her game she at times invited Hatice and mahidevran too. The less suspicious it looked the better.

She had Gulfem dress in bold colours and flirty styles with her hair loose and glossy. Her perfume was one of suleimans favourite scents. Gulfem was already a beautiful woman and she looked even more beautiful at each meeting. Hafsa hoped suleiman saw this too.

A few weeks later she informed suleiman She'd dine with him in his chambers alongside Gulfem (she'd left him alone a week prior so he wouldn't feel as if his mother was setting him up) conveniently when dinner was set to take place she suddenly felt sick and couldn't make it, she sent a message to suleiman about her sickness but only after she was informed by her spy that Gulfem was already with him as planned. Then she prayed her efforts were not in waste and hopefully the seed had been planted.

It took a while for the fire to rekindle, the passion to return. During this time suleiman had brought Hurrem back as she was proven innocent. The valide grew concerned and on the night of Hurrems return she had Gulfem prepared in a beautiful ivory white gown with off the shoulder style sleeves. The gown was plain without embroidery yet the fabric is shiny and the style bold and attention grabbing. Her brunette hair was curled and oiled until it was shiny and soft. Then she sent Gulfem down the golden road and hopefully back into Suleimans heart

Days went by and Hafsa didn't actually know exactly what happened. Had she succeeded? Was she finally making progress? Or did she just waste her time? She was left wondering for while, as her spies couldn't exactly see into Suleiman rooms and Gulfem had been down the golden road only twice as far as she knew (She'd honestly stopped keeping track)

Yet she got her news four weeks later, the physican had come to her with Gulfem during the evening and informed Hafsa in a light warm voice

Valide sultan congratulations, Gulfem hatun is expecting

Valide Ayşe Hafsa finally smiled. A genuine smile, full of pride, happiness, warmth and joy. She'd succeeded it seems.

When suleiman found out he was over the moon, he gave Gulfem a stunning pearl necklace and ruby earrings. He made her a necklace from sapphire himself (which caused both hurrem and Mahidevran to be green with envy especially hurrem who was know starting to see Gulfem as a rival)

On the day that Gulfem fell into labour Ayşe Hafsa was the first to stand outside the woman's chambers and the first to enter when Gulfem was ready receive visitors.

Gulfem had delivered a healthy baby girl, a beautiful dark haired girl.
