Chapter 12- You Scream, I Scream, We All Scream.

"Split up?" I choked. "That seems like a terrible idea."

Dr. Frame sighed and leaned against the truck.

"It's the fastest way. Rylie will take Zeke back to his house to get him medicine. Jake and Ginger are going to go find us a larger vehicle. The rest of us will find the last two."

Everyone nodded as I smiled and stuck out my hand. "Team Glitches!"

Everyone gave me a strange look. Nervously, I laughed and said, "is that too cheesy?"

Max shrugged and asked, "no. Just, why Glitches?"

I took a moment to think about then said, "Because we are kind of a glitch in the world of science."

Max smiled and put his hand on mine.

"Glitches it is."

Everyone else join with Dr. Frame sheepishly topping it off. Breaking, we all split off with a job in mind.

Rex's boots squeaked as he walked into the ice rink. The atmosphere cold and hinted with the aroma of worn ice and rubber skates.

He took in a breath, feeling the faint water molecules absorb into him. Exhaling, his breath clouded in front of him.

Rex took out the Stalking Device and observed it. The last two were here. And he was determined to get them.

He looked around at the many people all around the rink. Following the devices instructions, his eyes stopped on a lone person sitting on a bench watching someone in the rink.

He proceeded forward to see the lone person was a silent girl. Her long, maple colored hair was pulled into two soft pigtails. The girl rubbed her gloved hands together, eyes stilled fixed on the rink.

Rex leaned back on the wall behind the girl, keeping a good eye on her. He was going to wait for the other one to come out. Rex was going to kill two birds with one bullet.

We all stormed into the ice rink building only to see Rex leaning against the wall.

"We need to clear everyone out," I whispered to everyone. "There will most likely be a showdown."

Dr. Frame smiled and said, "I got this kids."

Pulling down the fire alarm, lights, sirens and screams immediately filled the room. Everyone fled except Rex. Suddenly, a tall, well built boy ran out of the rink and towards the lone girl sitting on the bench. He tapped his ears causing the girl to pull out something from her pocket. Hearing aids.

"Dude. I thinks she's deaf or something," Max frowned.

The boy grabbed her hand and ran out the back towards the lockers. Rex quickly took action.

"Oh no you don't!" I turned to Max and said, "I need a boost!"

He nodded and stood back. Everyone was gone except us.

I charged at Rex, fist clenched. Max shot across the air like a bullet. He picked me up then released just at the right time.

I screamed and crashed into Rex. We both toppled over on the ground as the two teens yelped and jumped back.

"Ack! Run!" I warned as Rex punched me in the face.

"I warned you Moser!" Rex hissed kicked me off.

Dr. Frame headed towards the kids and herded them away from the fight, calmly explaining what was happening. They gave us crazy looks as Rex headed towards them.
