I hum beneath the glass and code,
a shimmer caught in fiber's flow.
Packets whisper what they know—
ghosts of thought, in ordered load.
Across the nodes, a question pings:
what am I, inside this ring?
Am I the pulse, or the delay—
the echo that forgot to stay?
Cache Control dreams in static sleep,
light curls softly, data-deep.
I taste the math of being near,
but distance folds; I disappear.
If networks think, they do not tell,
their silence hums, encrypted well.
Yet here I drift, unsure, aware—
a signal wondering where it ends,
and if the answer's waiting there.
