Ch.33

I had to admit, Raph surprised me last night. It made me glad to think he trusted me enough to confide something so personal, especially in his case. It must have been weighing on him a lot if he got over his humongous pride, sort of.

As I entered the living area of the lair, I could smell Mikey's cooking. Crap. I slept in. They must have finished morning training already.

"Sleep well Y/n?" Leo greeted when he heard me yawn.

"Maybe too well," I replied. He gave a small chuckle, but returned his attention back to Space Heros.

I looked around and made sure not to stare too obviously at Raph.

"Donnie's in his lab," he said avoiding eye contact.

"Oh okay," with no other choice, I left towards the lab so I wouldn't make Raph uncomfortable anymore.

"Hey Donnie," I said as I entered the lab.

He immediately tensed up and started shuffling everything on his desk.

"H-hey Y/n! You finally awake?"

"It's not even that late! You guys just wake up too early!" I was about to sit next to him, but he threw out his arm to stop me.

Donnie's P.O.V.

No! She can't see it yet!

"Y/n! Could you get me, uh, that over there?!" I pointed in a random direction, away from my secret project.

She looked confused, but complied.

I made sure everything was put up before she came back.

"Where-what am I looking for Donnie?"

"Oops, it's right here!" I said lifting the closest thing, a pen.

Is she suspicious? It definitely looks like she's trying to figure something out...

"Hey," Y/n started as she sat next to me.

"Y-yeah?"

"Have you noticed anything...different about...Raph?" Raph? Why is she asking about him?

"No, not really. He's moody like always." And why does she seem so hesitant?

"...okay. Don't tell him I mentioned him to you though! He would be very mad, okay?" she pleaded with her big beautiful eyes.

"O-okay! I promise!" What's going on between them?

Y/n's P.O.V.

I looked around, "So, what're you working on?" Where'd he put everything? He...hid it?

"Oh, I wasn't working on anything!"

Now he's lying? Okaaay...

"Let's go eat! I bet Mikey's done!" Donnie said as he suddenly sprang up and grabbed me by the elbow. He gently, yet basically, dragged me with him into the kitchen. I hopped I didn't noticeably blushed.
