Smoldering Love (donatello x reader)

Ch. 47

"So, when are we telling the others?" Donnie asked shyly. We were sitting in his lab, which wasn't as awkward as I had made it out to be.

"Telling them what?"

"That we're...you know..."

"What?"

He sighed exasperatedly. "Together."

I blushed. He said it...

"Oh, they don't know yet?" I had assumed he would have told them. I've been embarrassed around them for nothing.

"Well, I couldn't tell if it would be okay to..."

"I think they've assumed by now..." I didn't want to have a giant family meeting to 'announce' we were a couple.

"Not really...they still think we're fighting..."

"Why?"  I was shocked.

"Because we haven't...really talked...too much recently. It really did look like you were avoiding me until this morning..." 

"...Well, I kinda was. Either way...I guess you could tell them one by one...I already told Raph..."

"When?...Why?"

"Because he asked? He wanted to know 'what is up with you two?' "

He nodded. "Can I know the specifics of your relationship?" he said, almost sounding concerned.

"Friends? Close friends."

He nodded again. "And how long have you two had secret meetings about that 'girl' you mentioned?"

"Like a month?"

He nodded. He started working again, and I refocused on my English work. 

I looked up at him, he was so cute when he was concentrating...

Donatello's P.O.V.

I turned to look at Y/n, and she was leaning on her arm, just gazing at me. My heart melted as I actually thought she loved me as I did her. 

When she realized I caught her staring, she blushed and looked back down at her book. Oh how I loved her blush. Maybe, if I do this, she'll do it again.

I was reaching over, but Mikey came in.

"Hey dudes, you've seen my game? I can't find it anywhere!"

"Noo...Can't say I have...Need anything else?"

"What are you guys doing?"

"Homework," answered Y/n, barely looking up from her book.

"Experiments."

"Boring! Let's go watch a movie!"

"Yeah!" Y/n said excitedly, I couldn't refuse now.

Halfway through the movie, my brothers fell asleep. Why not?

From what I've seen in movies, I yawned, stretched my arms, and wrapped one around Y/n. She immediately stiffened, but didn't push me off. 

She, after about 10 minutes, rested her head on my shoulder. I couldn't help but smile.
