Ch.53

Donnie's P.O.V.

There was no way that I was going to admit to Y/n that my body was trying to...ravish her...

What would she think? Would she be disgusted? I know she'd probably understand...but it's still hard to swallow. I don't want to scare her. I will not  do anything to her. I know that...but I don't want this to taint her opinion of me. She should always feel safe with me. I don't want to be a danger to her.

Master Splinter spent no haste in telling the others. Leo and Raph looked at me in with wide eyes and Mikey tilted his head. 

"So...Donnie's dangerous?" Mikey asked.

"Only to Y/n. It will pass. For now just try to not leave him unattended. Donatello will exercise self restraint, but a moment of weakness might lead him astray."

"Will this happen to all of us eventually?" Raph asked. I suddenly remembered he was meeting a girl in secret. Maybe it would happen to Raph too.

"Yes. When you find someone you consider to be your mate. As turtles, any viable female would trigger it once of age, but as part human, it would have to be someone you are completely serious about. We all know how Donatello feels about Y/n, this is just the manifestation of it."

Leo just nodded his head at me, slightly smiling. I looked away blushing. I knew I was serious about Y/n, but hearing other people acknowledge it made me feel a bit proud, yet embarrassed.

"So...this is happening because they started going out? Why didn't it happen before?" Raph asked, not really looking at anyone.

"Donatello?" Sensei looked at me, expecting me to answer.

"Umm...I don't know...probably because, even if I liked her a lot and was hopeful, it wasn't anything solid and there was always room for doubt. I wouldn't say doubt is completely out of our relationship now, but it's a minimum and probably just paranoia on my part every now and then..." I didn't really want to say anything, but Raph might go into a similar situation next year and all of them eventually. Of course they'd like to know everything, I know I would if I were in their position.

"Does she know?" asked Leo.

"She probably knows somethings wrong...but I don't think she could even guess." Why do I have to be like this?...

"So...I don't get it. Why don't they just married?" asked Mikey.

Leo and Raph stiffed a laugh and I groaned. I hated having to explain everything explicitly to Mikey. Again, why me?!...

"First of all, Mikey, Y/n is not of age to be married. That takes years, okay? This is going to pass soon anyways. Turtles' mating season can last a few months, but I don't think it'll last that long for us. It will happen every year probably, but hopefully it would become less intense the older we get."

"Oh, so it's part of that puberty thing Sensei was telling us before, right? Where things change? Do you think I'll get taller?!" Mikey wasn't really grasping anything anytime soon. This is close enough, I guess.

"Yeah, maybe."

"Cool!"
