The talking was all mumbled. I didn't bother to listen because I already knew everything they were saying. My mind was consumed with other things by now and I couldn't get them out. I thought about tonight and how I was going to see him and how I was going to hear him say my name. I let out a little sigh because of the joy that was to come after my time is finished being wasted by this pointless lesson. Usually I love going to any class but I've already learnt what the teacher is talking about, and how can I concentrate when I am seeing him so soon? I looked over at the clock and there was still twenty minutes left before the end of the day. I knew how to make the time go quicker though. I start thinking about the last time I saw Austin.
I can imagine my face pretty well right now. And anyone looking over would probably think there is something wrong with me but if I looked like a love sick puppy when I was thinking about him I didn't care. They didn't know what I am imagining and if they were thinking the same thing, they'd have the same face too.
A voice snapped me back into reality. I looked around for the voice that ruined my perfectly good day dream. Everyone looked focused on either their work or the teacher so who could it be? My eyes landed on his face. He was taking notes as the teacher was talking so his eyes were going from his book to the teacher to the stuff written on the board behind her. He actually looked kind of cute because of how concentrated he looked. I smiled, because of me thinking he was cute, which I don't remember the last time I thought he was cute, and just because of him in general. I guess Austin has just put me in a good mood.
Suddenly my cutie's eye looked over my way and called my name again. It was the voice that called me before. He looked back at the teacher to make sure she wasn't looking so he wouldn't get caught. That's one of the things that I loved about him, he was so cautious of everything he did. Then again that's also one of the things I hated about him. He looked my way to see if he had my attention yet. When he saw I was looking his way with half a smile he smiled. I was curious why he was trying to talk to me now. There wasn't long until the end of class and we usually walk to the car park together, so what does he have to tell me that's so important it can't wait until then?
Finally the long waited bell went and the classroom grew so loud the teacher was no longer heard. Being a Friday everyone was always in a rush to get out of school as soon as possible. I don't rush unless I have to be somewhere right away. He quickly packed up his things and hurries over to me. Wow he's really inpatient today. First he had to try and speak to me in class and now he rushed over?
"Yes Elliot?" I smile.
"I was rushing over again, wasn't I?" He says now relaxing because he was near me.
"Just a little."
"Well I had to because I wanted to know if you wanted to do something with me tonight?" He says excited.
"Tonight?" I say uneasy because I already knew the answer to that, and I know he wouldn't be happy with my no.
"Ms Dawson may I have a word with you?" The teacher asks saving me from this conversation.
I look back to Elliot. "I'll text you when I'm done, okay?" I say extra nicely because I know he'll be disappointed later.
"Okay, I'll meet you by your car."
He goes to walk away and I feel like I always do when this happens, and this happens a lot.
"Elliot, wait." I say making him turn around.
He turns around with a smile but I can tell he is little worried about what I'm going to say. Guilt builds up inside me after seeing his face.
"You forgot something." I tell him.
