Deanna sat at the table glaring into her drink. It was gross but it offered a distraction. She was trying really hard not to keep looking over on the dance floor. The said dance floor had her crush, Cass, dancing to the beat of the song. Deanna recognized the song as New Perspective by Panic! At The Disco, but was to caught up in the way Cass moved to sing along.
It didn't help that Cass showed up in a dress that fit her perfectly. She was in a floor-length, navy blue dress with a sweetheart neckline. The neckline had fake diamonds along the edge and that traveled up the straps. It also had a small diamond at the top of her stomach, just below her boobs, where the neckline ended. She looked stunning.
Denna was snapped into reality when she realized that someone was talking to her. It was Cass. She was standing awkwardly while rubbing her arms and looking at her feet. A stray strand of hair had managed to get out her pulled back hair and was hanging in front of her face.
She was adorable.
"Umm, hey Deanna," Cass said quietly.
Deanna smiled, "Hey, Cass."
Cass' eyes lit up, "You look great tonight."
Deanna really did look great tonight, but it was nothing compared to Cass. Deanna wasn't the type of girl who wore dresses, even for senior prom. Deanna would rather wear jeans in a t-shirt to prom rather than a dress. Actually, the only reason Deanna is wearing a dress is because her mom forced her too. With much pleading and threatening from her mom, Deanna reluctantly agreed as long as it wan't sparkly.
After a few hours of shopping, Deanna finally found a dress. It was a floor-length, tight, dark green dress. It crossed over at the top of her chest, leaving a diamond in the middle. Her hair was down and curled, falling over her shoulders.
Cass looked up when a new song came on. It was Dance, Dance by Fall Out Boy and Cass quickly took Deanna's hand and pilled her to the dance floor. She put Deanna's hands around her waist and then put her arms around Deanna's neck.
"Umm, Cass?" Deanna asked and Cass looked up.
"I don't know if this is a slow song."
Cass shrugged and kept dancing. Deanna looked down at her, getting a full few of her lips. She started towonder what they tasted like. They were so pink and full and she wanted to kiss them. Then suddenly, she was!
Deanna's eyes widened in shock. but she soon remembered she was supposed to kiss back. Cass tasted like strawberries, so she must of been wearing lip gloss. When they pulled apart, Cass' face was flushed pink and Deanna knew she probably looked the same. Cass smiled and Deanna smiled back.
Then Deanna leaned down right next to Cass' ear and whispered one phrase,
"Thanks Pete"
