"Dean, hurry up," Cas says in a harsh whisper from the couch. Dean, standing in hot, red santa costume, just gives his husband a glare while placing presents under the tree.
"Dammit Cas, it's fuckin' hot in this thing," Dean says wiping a bead of sweat from his forehead. "I don't even understand why I have to wear this damn thing."
Cas walks up behind Dean and wraps his arms around the larger man as he stands back up. "Cause what if she wakes up? Mary's only 4, she'll be crushed," Cas explains as Dean just huffs.
Dean turns to look at Cas and brings one hand up to the side of his face. Cas gives this gummy smile that Dean absolutely adores and he gets this warms feeling in his stomach that he usually gets when he looks at the smaller man.
"I love you," Dean says softly.
Cas just stares at him before breaking out in giggles. Dean crosses his arms and pouts, even bringing out the puppy dog eyes.
"Sorry, I couldn't take you seriously dressed up as santa," Cas explains as he finally calms down from his fit of laughter.
Deans still pouting so Cas pulls his husband down for a kiss, itchy santa beard and all.
"Merry Christmas, Santa" Cas says.
Dean rolls his eyes, "Merry Christmas, Baby."
--------
"Daddy?" Asks a small voice.
Dean looks from where he's making breakfast to see his four year old daughter, Mary. She's unusually quiet for Christmas morning and that makes Dean suspicious.
"Hey, Sweetheart," Dean says picking up the small girl. "What's wrong?"
Mary buries her head in Dean's shoulder, "mmghff."
"You're gonna have to say that again, Mary."
Mary raises her head to look at her Dad, "Papa did something bad."
"Oh really," Dean says raising an eyebrow. "What did he do?"
Cas is in the nursery waking Sammy, their 7 month old son. With the man out of the room, Dean's eager to learn of his wrong doing.
"Last night, I saw Papa kissing Santa. And you said that people kiss who they love, so does that mean Papa doesn't love you anymore?" Mary explains, on the verge of tears.
Hearing her story, Dean tries very hard to hold a straight face. "Oh, but why were you out of bed last night?"
"I was thirsty and wanted some water, but when I saw Papa I went back to bed." Mary says.
Dean sets her down on the floor and crouches to her level. "Well," Dean says grabbing her smaller hands in his own. "I think you just imagined it. You were really tired from playing in the snow last night. Sometimes when your brain is tired it sees things that aren't real."
Mary thinks about what her Dad just said and nods her head in agreement. Dean gives her a quick kiss on the cheek.
"Now, why don't you get Papa and Sammy so we can eat breakfast and open presents."
