Bloom of the Black Rose

After the departure of Lazar and Trudge, Blister leads both Yusei and Naoto to an old garage. He pulls up the shutter so the two can bring their runners in.

Blister: "This is the place, guys. You'll be safe here until the Fortune Cup. Not quite 5 stars, but it's got all the creature comforts you would expect for this part of town--Cockroaches, mice, stray cat."

Naoto: "Thanks, I think."

Blister: "I decorated the place myself."

Yusei: "Hmm."

Blister: "Now get some rest. You two still haven't recovered from that fall you took, and if you both plan on dueling and winning the Fortune Cup, you'll need a clear head."

Yusei: "I'll rest, Blister, when my friends are safe."

Blister: lI hear you, Yusei, but you're no good to anybody if you don't have all your strength." Yusei steps outside and looks up at the high skyscrapers of New Domino.

Yusei: "Don't worry. I heal real quick." 'And I 'm gonna show goodwin just how good I feel.

At Tops, Leo woke up to find his two new friends have left.

Leo: "What!? Not here! Not here!"

Luna: "What is it, Leo?" Luna came down, rubbing her eye, still tired.

Leo: "Luna, both Yusei and Naoto are gone!

Luna: "So, they left after all."

Leo begins running around like a hopped up Mogwai from Gremlins while Luna notices the fixed duel disks on the table.

Leo: "Why'd they leave!? You just had to say that, Luna! Aw man, where'd they go!?

Luna: "Don't take it out in me. Besides look at this." Leo runs over and picks up his duel disk.

Leo: "It's lighter!" Leo places it on his arm. "Look! It fits me like a glove!"

Luna: "They must have modified them so they'd fit us." 'Impressive, they can do anything, huh? They sure were odd.' "I would have liked to talk to them a bit longer, but I guess it's a bit too late now."

Leo: "You are late! You were on extra high alert about them yesterday, weren't you!?"

Just then a call comes in on a screen on the wall. Leo rushed to it and answers, displaying the image of his friend Dexter on the screen.

Dexter: "Morning there, Leo!"

Leo: "Oh, Tenpei, you're early!"

Dexter: "You promised today. You didn't forget, did you?"

Leo: "Let's see...."

Dexter: "The Black Rose?"

Leo: "Oh, right, right! We're going to the Daimon Area to beat the Black Rose, right?"

Luna: "Are you two feeling okay?" She said with a smirk. "Isn't the Black Rose really strong at dueling? According to the rumors, people who lose get exterminated by the-"

Dexter: "It'll be fine! You see, I built the strongest deck to defeat the Black Rose!"

Leo: "Ooh, awesome."

Dexter: "Talks from eyewitnesses about the Black Rose deck have popped up online. I analyzed then and I built something that's guaranteed not to lose."

Leo: "I'll take her on too!"

Dexter: "Huh? Isn't that a tad different from your usual one?" He asked, noticing how changed Leo's duel disks is.

Leo: "You could say! I just had my duel disk cusmatized!"
