Under the streets of the Satellite, Yusei and Naoto were racing down the old subway on their runners, testing out whose Runner was faster. As they enjoyed the little friendly competition, a certain former resident of Satellite was daydreaming from his home in New Domino City
Jack: 'Ahh, now this is the view that I was always meant to have, even if I did have to double cross a few friends to get it. Hmph, and to think that it was only a few years ago that I was living amongst the losers and garbage of the Satellite. Well I'm glad that nightmare is over. Hmm. Stardust Dragon. I wonder if Yusei still misses you?'
As he was thinking, Jack's employer, Rex Goodwin greeted him.

Goodwin: Quite the view isn't it Jack? Still thinking about your days in the Satellite?
Jack: I'm done thinking about that dump Goodwin.
Goodwin: That's good Jack. Because dwelling in the past can sometimes cost you your future. And we've worked too hard to let that happen. Now shouldn't you be focusing on your match this evening--
Jack: Hmm. Jack skillfully flings Stardust Dragon into his deck. I'm plenty focused Goodwin. You don't have to worry about me dwelling on the past. Cause if I had my way, the Satellite would've been destroyed years ago!
Goodwin: I understand how you feel. But the Satellite plays a valuable role in our society. Everyone has been given a role in life; those from the Satellite exist so that the chosen may prosper. They keep our city functioning by recycling what the chosen discard. Without the Satellite, New Domino City could not exist. Glamorous a role it is not, but a necessary one for everyone's survival. But you know that already don't you Jack? How silly of me to give a history lesson to someone who experienced it first hand. Now leave your memories of that place where they belong. It's time for you to make new ones!
Jack: You're right. But what if my past comes looking for me?
Back in the Satellite, Rally and Misaki were waiting for Yusei and Naoto's arrival. They hear their Runners coming closer. They both fly past them, but Yusei was just a bit faster. Rally holds a stopwatch and timed it.
Rally: Ah! Rally and Misaki run over to them. Yusei! That's your best time yet!
Naoto: Man! Lost by a hair. This is all because you got the better acceleration chip. Ow! Misaki lightly bumps Naoto on the head.
Misaki: Hey, be glad I managed to get the one we have. Do you know what I had to trade to get it?
Naoto: You didn't even trade any of your stuff! You gave the guy one of my cards!
Misaki: You said you didn't need it. She countered.
Naoto: That doesn't mean you had to give it away without asking!
Rally: [Chuckling] You two fight like an old married couple.
