Battle With the Black Rose

In the hallways, Leo was feeling depressed after his loss against Greiger. His sister and Dexter tried to cheer him up.

Luna: "Oh, come on, Leo. You can't mope around forever just because you lost."

Dexter: "She's right. You tried your hardest!"

Leo: "Yeah, but..."

Naoto: "It's not all bad. You can learn a lot from losing." Naoto spoke up as he and Yusei arrive to offer their own advice.

Yusei: "Naoto's right, Leo. All you need to do is win your duels later on. The experience you got from losing will always prove useful."

Leo: "Just make sure that you don't lose, Yusei! We'll all be cheering you on from the stands!"

Just then Akiza passed by, her eyes locking with Yusei as she walked. She continues walking as the kids step out of her way.

Leo: "What's the deal with her?" Leo said upset by Akiza's rudeness.

Meanwhile, Goodwin and Lazar were having a meeting with one of the servants of Illiaster.

Gil: "Sir Randsborg. Reporting as you requested, my liege!"

Lazar: [Chuckles] "I told you he'd be perfect for this duel. The costume might be a bit melodramatic, but he said he wouldn't duel without it."

Gil: "Is it true that I am to duel an opponent of thy female persuasion, your highness? Chivalry forbids this! Thy fairer species is too weak, milord!"

Goodwin: "What if I told you she was the Black Rose? It is believed that her cards wield a power so real that they have been known to come to life."

Gil: "I see. A witch!"

Lazar: "Are you afraid, Sir Randsborg? You know if you don't fulfill your obligation, well, you might just find yourself dueling at a renaissance fair!"

Gil: My word is my bond. So I will engage this Black Rose in battle!"

Lazar: [Chuckles] "Just don't go easy on her in the arena. Push her to exhaustion. We must see if she has the mark of the dragon."

Gil: "Fear not! Thy she-creature is no match for Sir Gil De Randsborg! On my sword... I swear the Black Rose will taste defeat!" With that, Randsborg takes his leave.

Annoumcer: "Welcome back! Our next duel is about to begin! And now entering the arena, a knight in shining armor. It's the one, the only Gil De Randsborg!" The knight appears on the stage. He then unsheathes his blade and raises it high.

Gil: "Good people of New Domino! Thou shall knowest my blade and my deck from the attacks thee shall witness!"

Announcer: "While we wait for a shakespearean scholar to translate all that, let's get ready for his opponent!"

Yanagi: "This guy can't be serious!"

(A/N: He's one to talk)

Tanner: "Don't get me started on that big faker, grandpa. I wore that same costume last halloween."

Announcer: "Now entering the arena, his opponent, with a record of... well, it appears we don't have any record for her! But we can say she's, um, are you saying we have no information for her?" He muttered to someone off mic. "Um, well, Domino City, let's hear it for Miss Akiza Izinski!"

Leo: "I have the feeling I've seen her somewhere before!"

Dexter: "Yeah, we saw her earlier."

Leo: "No, it's not that. It was somewhere else before!"
