Chase's POV
It's been two weeks since I came here and I couldn't be happier. It's amazing to finally get to know Cecilia, the girl who caught my eyes all those months ago, but that's a story for another day.
Caleb and I are currently at the bar, watching the football game that's playing on the TV. But I got to admit that Cecilia is a big distraction. I can't keep my eyes off of her as she talks to customers trying to be as polite as possible, which is really not her thing. I smile a little at that, she is definitely different from all the other girls. Even in her work uniform she looks beautiful.
"Are you done checking out my little sister?" I jump as Caleb asks me.
"What? I wasn't.. I was just thinking about.. cats?" I stutter under the questioning gaze of Caleb.
Cats? Really?
"Oh really? Cause I'm pretty sure my little sister isn't a cat." He says.
"I was really thinking about cats! I like cats!" I got a few weird looks as I said that but that's okay.
"Whatever you say lover boy.. but you better make your move on her quick, she has a few potential boyfriend candidates." Caleb says smugly with amusement.
I couldn't help but feel jealous. Obviously she has boys lining up for a chance with her. I wonder if she has her eyes on someone.. I hope that special lucky someone is me. I don't want to see her with anyone else.
Suddenly Caleb bursts out laughing while holding his stomach.
"The look on your face... I can't.. you looked like you were about to turn green from jealousy!!" Caleb continued laughing as I waited for him to explain himself. Was I really that obvious?
After a few gulps from his beer, he finally calmed down but he still has a grin on his now red face.
"Cecilia doesn't have anyone lining up for her, only you man." He says as he was about to start laughing again. "Don't even try to deny it, the green monster that we know as jealousy was awakened the moment you thought of her with someone else other than you which in fact proves that you my friend, have a crush on my little sister." Caleb smiles.
"Wait.. so you don't mind?" I ask, confused.
"Of course I mind you idiot! That's my baby sister your talking about. It's just I guess she has to find someone one day and get married and all that lovey dovey stuff.. What I'm trying to say is all I want for her is to be happy and you seem like someone who cares about her a lot so I guess I'm kind of okay with this." Caleb explains.
Wow that's a really different side of him.
I nod in agreement and I was just about to say something but Caleb cut me off.
"But I still have hopes that she will give up on boys and grow old with seven cats who are named after the seven dwarfs from Snow White." and there is the normal Caleb, I chuckle at his weird view of the future Cecilia. "But seriously, don't hurt her because if you do.."
"Let me guess, you will make me pay for it?" I guess his obviously cliché way to threaten me. But there is no need for threats because I would never hurt Cecilia.
"No, Cecilia will make you pay for it. I remember back in high school she was with this guy whom I can't recall the name of anyway long story short, he cheated on her so Cecilia gave him a lovely black eye to remind him who he was messing with. Although I will definitely be one of the reasons why you will end up in the hospital if you ever hurt her. And don't forget dad, he won't go easy on you either." Caleb tells me. Well that's not that cliché.
