Cecilia's POV

I still can't believe it.

This feels like a dream. It feels like I'm about to wake up and everything would go back to normal. But after pinching myself several times, I am completely confident that this is in fact reality.

It is Friday and here I am standing in line to sign up for The Championships with dad, Caleb and Chase. My team. This is all so crazy!!!

It's still beyond me how Chase was able to convince my dad to support my choice of joining. I do know that I owe him a lot especially because he volunteered to give up his time to spend it to train me. Chase believes in me for some reason and I am really thankful. Although my feelings towards him are still confusing me so I'm going to let time help me figure it out.

As I look around the cramped office where we are supposed to sign up in our town hall, I see that I'm one of the only woman here. The only other women here are the few that, I suppose came to support their family member, friend or boyfriend and the two grumpy yet professional looking women who work here.

There are a lot of funny looking men and scary ones too but they don't scare me. I noticed that some of them are looking me up and down and I had the sudden urge to punch them as I curled my hands into fists.

"Don't let them let them intimidate or provoke you, that's what they want. They want a reaction from you." Chase whispered to me but I know that dad and Caleb heard it too as they turned around to look at us. I shook my head and they both went back to their conversation on whatever they were talking about.

"I'm not scared of them, it's actually the opposite. I hate the looks they give me..Their looks feel so degrading" I mumble as I feel anger bubbling inside me. Why am I getting so angry? I think I might be getting my period soon...

"The first lesson is not to let them get to you, that is what they want. If you start a fight you can get disqualified before you even got the chance to enter." Chase explains. "In a way it's a technique, they get their opponents disqualified so it would be easier for them to win."

"How do they know it's me that's entering and not one of you?"

"A woman entering The Championships, that's not a usual thing. This is a small town and that is a big thing so word spreads fast. It could have started when you told Lily in the café yesterday... That did cause quite the scene." He explains.

I told Lily that I am entering The Championships yesterday in the café and she started squealing and jumping around shouting how proud she was of me. Then gran came over to ask what was going on and when I told her, she started crying telling me to take care of myself and how much I have grown up. So yeah.. It did cause quite the scene as Chase said.

"But how do they know that the girl entering is me?"

"Maybe you have a reputation you don't know of-" Chase started but got cut off by a new voice.

"Chase? Chase Rider?" I turn around to see a face I don't recognise. He has short blonde hair that is spiked up with a pair of dark brown eyes and he has a lip piercing. He is wearing a simple white shirt with dark jeans that hang low on his hips paired with a pair of black boots. It's obvious that he spends a lot of time in the gym from the way his body is built. He looks like your typical heartbreaking bad boy type. I got to admit that he is pretty good looking but he is nothing compared to Chase. Wait... Why am I comparing him to Chase?!?!

"Vic? No way!! I haven't seen you since the accident!" I snapped out of my thoughts as Chase exclaimed, going to give Vic one of those weird guy hugs. By now dad and Caleb has turned around and were curious to find out who this guy was.
