Cecilia's POVIf someone would have asked me what the biggest regret of my life was a month ago, I would have told them that it was the time I ran that 15k marathon (I was basically puking my lungs out by the end of it but that's a story for another day). If you would ask me the same question today, I would say making Laleb happen.
Don't get me wrong, I am really happy for them because they look really happy together but sometimes it just gets too much. They give the phrase 'lovey-dovey' a whole new meaning. I'm not joking. They are literally stuck together.
Time is flying by and The Championships are right around the corner. To say I'm nervous is an understatement. You know those cliche butterflies that people usually feel in their stomachs when they're nervous? Yeah? Well there ain't no butterflies in my stomach, there are dragons!
Chase and I train whenever we can; in the mornings, during our breaks and after our shifts. The only days we don't train is on the weekends mainly because I have to work late. Like today.
But lets not forget about Vic who is going through a mid-life crisis right now. I don't really understand what's going on completely but what I do understand is that someone is coming to visit him. The only person he told was Chase. After the revelation of this news, Chase became a bit distant. I don't like this distant Chase, he is quiet and always lost in thought.
I feel bad for him but I'm itching to find out who this damn mystery person is.
I don't want to go directly to Chase and ask him about the mystery person because he is in a better mood today, I don't want to ruin that. Vic is MIA, although I have a feeling that he is binge watching The Vampire Diaries on Netflix at Chase' apartment. A few days ago I found out that Vic is in fact a fan of The Vampire Diaries. We had a full on argument about who is cuter together: Damon and Elena or Stefan and Elena. I was of course team Damon. I honestly think I offended Vic by this in some way.
And yes, I finally found out that Chase lives in an apartment not too far from my house. I haven't been there yet but he promised to bring me there some day. It's still beyond me why he decided to move to our small town. But then again I know very little about his past.
Anyway, I decided to ask Caleb about this mystery person. What you have to know about him is that he knows everything about everyone. From kinder garden all the way to college, he knew everything about everyone. Honestly he is like the Regina George of our town. Trust me, it's not like he wants to know the gossip but somehow he is always at the right place at the right time. It's a talent really.
By middle school Caleb figured out this talent of his and in time so did everyone else. People started going to him for the gossip and he started charging them for it. At first it would have been something like chocolate or other sweets but by high school Caleb charged money. I never really went to him but when I got really desperate and wanted to know something, I did. He even charged me for it.. so much for brotherly love.
"Caleb, you know the way I love you so so so much and you love me even more." I said to him while batting my eyelashes.
Lily is out of town for a few days because she went to visit her cousin in Los Angeles. To say Caleb looks depressed is a true understatement. The two of them have grown really close.
Caleb narrowed his eyes at me in a slight glare, "What do you want?" he asked.
"Well.. I was wondering have you overheard any gossip lately. Perhaps from a certain person in the garage about a certain mystery person coming to visit?" I asked in a quiet tone.
Caleb looked lost in his thoughts for a second. He knows something, I know he knows something. I also know that he knows that I know that he knows something. He lets out a sigh before he starts talking. See what I mean? He is completely depressed without Lily.
