Cecilia's POV

It's been two weeks since the Chase Rider started working with us and I'm still a bit suspicious of him.

He has dad wrapped around his pinkie finger. I'm starting to think dad likes Chase more than he likes Caleb and I.

Although I got to admit, Chase isn't as big headed as I thought he would be. In fact, he is really funny, smart, nice, gorgeous, muscular...

Wait. What?

No I didn't just think that.. it's probably the smell in the garage that's effecting my thinking.

Yeah! It's definitely that!

Today is Sunday, so it's our day off. I wonder what Chase is doing...

I mean, I wonder how he is doing with moving here and stuff.

I'm just a concerned friend.. nothing else.

Anyway.. I've been trying to convince dad to support my dream of entering the Championships but he's still not fond of the idea. I know you are probably thinking that he has no power over me because I'm an adult and I can make adult decisions without daddy's support but that's not the point. If I enter The Championships I want dad to be there by my side along with Caleb. I want to make dad proud and that wouldn't happen if I enter behind his back, without his consent.

Right now I am at the gym with Caleb, holding a punching bag for him while he punches it.

"What do you think I should do about dad and The Championships?" I finally ask Caleb.

He looks at me for a split second before throwing another punch then answering.

"I don't know.. Maybe you should tell him that you're pregnant and he will think nothing could be worse than that and he will let you go." Caleb answered, panting and sweating.

"Caleb!! Take this seriously!!"

"I just don't get why you need his consent so much if you are dying to enter." he said as he threw another vicious punch towards the punching bag.

"I just don't want to disappoint him, I want to make him proud." I thought out loud.

Just as Caleb was about to answer, the gym doors flew open and in walked Trevor Dickson.

Caleb and I both glared at him as he smirked at us.

Trevor Dickson. Caleb's arch enemy, my ex-bully and this small towns biggest player. Coincidently, his surname reflects his personality perfectly.

Caleb and Trevor used to be best friends but at the end of middle school they got into a huge argument over a girl they both liked. I'm not sure what really happened because I never asked Caleb but there were rumours that the fight was over Lily. I don't know if it's true or not.

After Caleb and Trevor's argument they only talked when they tormented each other. Soon, Trevor realised that if he really wanted to hurt my brother, he would have to hurt me so he started bullying me along with his friends who were coincidently the populars.

Very cliché, I know.

They would tease me because I was a nerd and anti-social. I didn't really care much but then they started talking crap about my family and that's when I got really angry. By high school, I had enough of their stupidity so I asked Caleb to teach me self defence which he did happily. I never really got to use what Caleb thought me as I realised that violence was not the answer and that I shouldn't waste my time and energy on them when I could be building my future. After a while of completely blocking them out of my life, they stopped and left me alone and I graduated happily.
