I shuffled into the house, feeling the weakest I have felt ever since I caught the flu from a girl on set. I could literally feel the pity looks from everybody already.
I was at my most vulnerable point, which I hated immensely.
One by one, they asked how I was feeling the moment I showed my face in the living room. All it took was a hand gesture and they were silent.
"I just wanted to apologise for literally killing the vibe yesterday and making you all concerned. Thanks all for helping me out" I sighed. "I'll be in my room if you need me"
I fled before the embarrassment got any worse, but stopped at the sound of Ross' voice. "Charlie! How are you feeling?"
"I'm okay now. Thanks for helping me yesterday" I smiled politely.
"No worries, and, you don't remember anything else from yesterday, right?"
"You kissed my forehead, yes" I chuckled. "I hope that didn't get you into much trouble"
"Not at all" he laughed, his cheeks gaining a red tint. "Well I'm glad you're okay, and I'll leave you to rest but not for long; we're on grocery duty tomorrow"
Now it was my turn to laugh. "Okay!"

Is it possible for one human being to awake so many feelings inside of you which you once thought were extinguished?
That is exactly how I felt looking at my ex-wife. She had dyed her hair back to its natural chocolatey brown colour, her physique was literally the same and her eyes were shining like never before. She just looked beautiful, and I wanted to say that to her and beg her to run away with me.
But she moved on, and we found different people. I never moved on.
A few minutes after she went upstairs, I followed after her, hunting for Lucy. She told me she wasn't feeling very well so she was going to have a movie day. I would participate but, I wanted to socialise with my friends and family.
"Hey hey hey" I greeted her as I entered the room. She had her head covered with the laptop on her lap. I quirked an eyebrow. "Are you-"
I was then cut off by a blood-curdling scream, possibly from a horror movie. She jumped so much, the laptop went flying across the bed and almost to the floor.
"Oh- hi" she smiled to me. "Sorry about that"
"It's okay" I grinned, sitting. "So how are you feeling?"
"I'm covered in urticaria from the waist down; allergies" she shook her head. "But they don't itch, they just feel really weird"
"Ah, I'm sorry babes" I kissed her cheek. Her demeanour changed. "What's up?"
"You know how I said I was over that forehead kiss-"
"You aren't and I can tell"
"It's hard to be over it. The way you looked at her, and how your eyes kind of watered upon seeing her so fragile was so cute but at the same time it broke my heart because you never have and possibly never will look at me the same way" she began to tear up. I tried to speak but she shushed me. "I'm trying to be the best girlfriend I can be, but I know I will never make you feel the same way she does and it's blatant that she still impacts you just from the way you look at each other; I mean, you have her name tattooed on your chest! And even if you wanted to cover it up by adding 'Brown'-"
I attempted to butt in but she beat me to it. "-that is her last name! I have nothing against her, she's a lovely person, but it hurts that I will never be up to the same standard"
"You're right, you won't" she widened her eyes. "Because you have a standard of your own. You awake new feelings inside of me, and if that wasn't true then well, why the hell am I here with you? We've both moved on, and I moved on to you"
It wasn't a lie, but it wasn't the truth either.
Lucy grabbed my hands. "Do you still have feelings for her? It's okay if you do"
"It's hard not to; we were married for nearly three years but, my feelings are on you now" I moved a curl behind her ear and she smiled. "Sure we'll talk a lot these two weeks to catch up and whatnot, but it won't change a thing; ooh, how about we leave two days earlier and have our own little getaway to a place of your choice"
"Anywhere? Wouldn't that be kind of expensive"
Cue cockiness. I pointed at myself. "Multimillionaire, darling"
"Right sorry" she laughed. "In that case, Greece sounds fun"
"Deal" I pecked her lips. "Now shuffle up, I want to watch this movie; and don't you dare to judge my screams"
"I never do in other places, why would I now?- oh shit" she covered her mouth.
I gave her a smug grin. "You sneaky little person"
