We were in the kitchen, trying to clean up the blood stain. It had dried completely. It was a pain to get up. The water we were using quickly turned a dirty red and our hands were covered within a few minutes.

"So, are you going to be okay?" Alexandria sat up beside me. I carried on scrubbing the floor, not looking at her. "Clark? Are you going to be okay?" I shrugged. I seriously didn't know whether I was going to be okay. There was no point in giving her false hope. She went to speak again but I turned to her and put a finger to her lips.

"I don't want you to speak anymore, okay? Just for now. I can't take it." I went back to cleaning the blood stain. She sat there in complete shock. I smirked. She needed to be told what to do, and I told her. She cleared her throat.

"Erm, what do you think you're doing, talking to me like that? I don't deserve to be treated like that. I'm your girlfriend. You should be kind to me." She crossed her arms and pouted childishly. I could see a slight smile on her face. I moved nearer to her, getting close to her face.

"I think that you've been naughty and that you need a punishment." I spoke in a low voice, placing my hands on the floor either side of her. She stifled a laugh and uncrossed her arms.

"What kind of punishment?" She bit her lip and smiled. I didn't know where this was heading but I think she did. She grabbed the front of my shirt with her hand and pulled me close, so our lips were just touching. I was starting to have butterflies in my stomach. I could feel her breath on my skin. I wasn't used to intimacy. I shouldn't be doing this, not after all that has happened. I just couldn't help myself. I smiled.

"I think you know." I growled slightly. The blood could wait. I had more important things to do than clean up. She pulled me closer until our lips were touching. The electricity between us spread like wildfire. I was overwhelmed by the feeling. She pulled away after , smiling. She bit her lip again and stared into my eyes.

"C'mon." She got up and pulled me with her. I couldn't believe this was happening. It was so surreal. I followed her upstairs and into my bedroom.

It was almost ten at night and Alexandria was laying next to me, her head on my chest. Her arm was wrapped around my side, clutching at nothing. I had my arms around her, one hand stroking her hair. I had a smile on my face, a smile that felt natural. She shifted and looked up at me.

"That was meant to be a punishment?" She giggled. I nodded my head slowly. She giggled again. "I didn't feel punished..." I twirled her hair around my finger. She nestled into the crook of my neck. I felt calmer than I have ever felt in my whole life. I felt like I was a normal teenager, with no voices in my head, no demons showing themselves to me, no special qualities that would make people call me a freak. For once in my life, I felt normal.

I looked down at Alexandria and saw that she had fallen asleep. She was really cute when she slept. I smiled and closed my eyes.

Normally, this was when images of every single bad thing that ever happened to me popped up. They didn't this time. Nothing did. I felt the warm embrace of sleep beckoning me. I gave in easily, since I had not slept for over...I can't remember. It was so long. I drifted into the darkness with no worries about what would happen when I woke up.

I finally slept with a smile on my face.
