Chapter 63 - A Match?

Selena had been convinced that Charlee wasn't going to get any better. There hadn't been a match found yet. Ziggy had tried to tell her that Charlee would be fine.

That morning Selena and Ziggy were lying in bed together. Daisy was in the middle of them fast asleep.

"All we need is Charlee here," Selena said. Ziggy sighed and kissed her

"I know babe. She'll be back with us soon," Ziggy replied. Selena smiled. Daisy woke up just as the door knocked. Selena went to get out of bed but Ziggy stopped her."I'll go," Ziggy told her.

Ziggy answered the door to see Robbie standing there. "Rob its half eight. What you doing here?" Ziggy asked. Robbie smiled and looked at Selena

"I know I've been a jerk lately but I wanna make things right. I wanna be tested for Charlee," Robbie said. Selena was shocked.

"You wanna be tested? Why?" Selena asked. Robbie sighed

"She's my niece. If I can I wanna make her better," Robbie said. Selena smiled and Ziggy spoke.

"Does Mum know?" Ziggy asked. Robbie nodded.

"She's coming with me to get tested. I wanna help if I can," Robbie said.

Selena, Ziggy and Daisy went to the Hospital to see Charlee. When they got there Charlee's room was full of doctors. "What's happened?" Selena asked. The Doctor looked up.

"She started convulsing," the doctor replied. Selena was crying. Charlee was all alone.

"Is she okay?" Ziggy asked. The doctor nodded.

"She's stable for now but I'm afraid if a match isn't found soon then Charlee will die," the doctor told them. Selena broke down crying.

Robbie had just been tested. "I'm proud of you Rob. Doing this for Ziggy," Sandy said. Robbie smiled.

"I wanna change mum. If helping Charlee live does that then I'll do it," Robbie told Sandy. Sandy hugged him.

"Let's go and see Charlee," Sandy suggested. Robbie nodded.

Entering Charlee's room Sandy saw Selena crying. Ziggy looked like he had been crying too. "What's happened?" Sandy asked. Ziggy looked up.

"They need to find a match soon or Charlee's gonna die," Ziggy said. Sandy was crying.

"I've been tested Zig. The results will be in soon," Robbie told Ziggy. Daisy had no idea what was going on.

"When Charlee comes home with the new baby I'm going to look after them both," Daisy said. Selena smiled and kissed Daisy's head. Ziggy walked out. He couldn't handle it. Selena went after him.

"Wait," Selena said. Ziggy turned back to her. The tears obvious in his eyes.

"I'm sorry babe, we could lose our little girl," Ziggy told her. Selena started crying. Ziggy pulled her into his arms.

"Look, we have to believe that a match will be found. If its not then we'll face that when it happens," Selena said.

"How? How can we say goodbye to our baby girl. She's nearly two. Lena I can't lose her," Ziggy cried. Selena held him as he cried. She was crying too.

"We have to stay strong. She can't be strong so she needs us to do it for her," Selena said.

Ziggy and Selena went back into Charlee's room. "Are you alright?" Sandy asked. Selena nodded.

"We're fine," Selena replied. Charlee was asleep. She looked peaceful. Sandy walked over to Ziggy and Selena.

"Look, I think you might need to explain to Daisy that Charlee might not make it," Sandy said. Selena saw Daisy playing with Robbie and she shook her head.

"No, I can't do that. I can't tell my baby girl that her little sister could die," Selena replied.

The doctor came in. Selena and Ziggy were trying to keep strong. "We've had the test results back. Robbie Roscoe is...."
