Chapter 66 - I'm Unwell Selena

Looking after a baby boy had been different to looking after a baby girl. Jayden was three weeks old and Selena was determined to not have anymore kids. Her three kids were enough.

Charlee had been discharged and she was slowly getting better. Daisy had been great at looking after her baby brother and sister.

That morning, Selena lay in bed with Ziggy. "We might need a bigger place babe," Ziggy said. Selena laughed and nodded.

"Yeah that's true. Not yet though, Jay can stay with us for a bit."

With Patrick

Patrick had been needing to speak to Selena. He had waited long enough as he wanted to wait until Charlee was better. "You can't tell Selena just yet dad. She's just had a baby!" Sienna said. Patrick sighed.

"She needs to know that I'm not going to be around for much longer. The baby is three weeks old," Patrick said. Sienna knew how badly Selena would take the news.

"I should be there then."

Selena and Ziggy.

"Daddy! Charlee poked me!" Daisy yelled.

Ziggy groaned and climbed out of bed. He puck Jayden up from the moses basket and went to sort the girls out. Selena sat in bed and thought about how amazing her life was. Just as she was about to fall asleep again, her phone buzzed -

Selena, me and dad are coming over today. Dad has to talk to you - Sienna

Selena groaned and kicked the duvet off her. She walked out the bedroom to see Ziggy multitasking by holding Jayden and giving Charlee her medicine. "Sienna text, she and my dad are coming over. My dad has something to tell me," Selena said. Ziggy nodded.

"Little man is due a feed so is there any bottles down up?" Ziggy asked. Selena nodded.

"Fridge."

Selena went to check on Charlee to see if she was okay. "Mummy, Charlee been touching her poorly," Daisy said. Selena frowned.

"No Charlee, don't touch it," Selena said. Charlee giggled.

"Owie?"

"Yeah you have an owie," Selena said. Charlee smiled and walked into the living room to Ziggy. "You okay Daisy?" Selena asked. Daisy nodded and hugged Selena.

"Yes mummy."

Patrick and Sienna arrived while Ziggy was feeding Jayden. "Lena, they're here," Ziggy called. Selena came out the bedroom with Charlee.

"She's looking much better isn't she?"

Selena smiled and nodded. "Yeah she is. I didn't think she would get better this quickly," Selena said.

Ziggy put Jayden, Charlee and Daisy down for a nap while Patrick spoke to Selena. "What's this about?" Selena asked. Patrick took a deep breath before looking at Selena.

"I'm unwell Selena."

Selena frowned. "How do you mean unwell?" Selena asked. Patrick sighed and looked at his daughter.

"I've been diagnosed with Motor Neuron disease," Patrick said. Selena had read about MND and she knew there was no cure.

"You're dying aren't you?

Patrick nodded and Selena started crying. "You can't be dying daddy! I need you," Selena cried. Patrick felt bad for having to tell Selena. "Charlee's only just got better and now you're dying!"

"I wish it were different and that I would have more time but I'm afraid there's nothing they could do," Patrick said. Selena stood and walked into the bedroom.

Patrick looked at Ziggy. "I'd like to see you both get married before I die. It's my one wish," Patrick said. Ziggy nodded.

"We can do that."

Patrick and Sienna left the flat and Ziggy went to check on Selena. He walked in the bedroom and saw her crying on the bed. "I'm so sorry babe."

Selena looked up. "I know he's made mistakes but he's my daddy and I can't lose him Zig, I won't be able to cope," Selena cried. Ziggy sat on the bed with her.

"I wish there was something I could do."

Selena looked up at him. "Pinch me, because I'm dreaming."

Ziggy smiled slightly. "I wish you were dreaming babe. It's true."

Selena started crying again. "This is unfair! Our daughter has just got better and I find out my father is dying three weeks after his grandson is born! This is messed up!" Selena sobbed.

A Few Hours Later.

After Ziggy and Selena made dinner. They got the kids ready for bed. "Mummy, when I'm older I'm going to be an angel," Daisy said. Selena smiled and tucked Daisy in.

"You're already an angel baby. You're my little angel," Selena told her. Daisy giggled and she soon fell asleep. Selena looked over at Charlee and saw her fast asleep in her bed.

Ziggy was sitting on the sofa. "Jay's asleep."

Selena smiled and sat with him. "I'm gonna have to prepare to say goodbye aren't I?" Selena asked.

Ziggy nodded. "Yeah babe. Your dad said he had one wish," Ziggy told her. Selena looked up at him.
"What?"

Ziggy smiled. "He wants to see us get married before he goes," Ziggy said. Selena started crying.
"He wants to walk me down the aisle doesn't he?" Selena asked. Ziggy nodded and kissed her.

"We're gonna make that happen babe. I promise."

Selena smiled and kissed him. "I love you Ziggy Roscoe."

"I love you too soon to be Mrs Roscoe."

A/N ~ Well, now Patrick is dying DLG is coming to an end soon but there shall be a sequel! I have the cover and summary all planned out!
