Chapter 2

I opened my eyes and blinked. I was so tired. I hit the alarm clock to make it shut up.

That was when I remembered what today was. It was school. My first day of school. And people always say high school is the hardest, so can you even imagine how hard it will be for me not having ever gone to school?

Stop. Just think about what Uncle Ben told you. Just look at the bright side of things. I could make a lot of new friends. That could happen.

I looked at the clock. It was 7:30. I better get ready. I hopped out of bed and walked over to my closet.

We had a lot of money so my dad bought me a lot of clothes. I didn't even like half of them, he just bought them randomly then gave them to me.

I picked out a red t-shirt and skinny jeans and I walked into the bathroom and brushed my hair.

My hair was brown and came down to my waist. And it was always wavy. Not curly, just wavy. Not ever straight unless I straightened but I never really had the time to so I never really tried. It would take too long anyway because my hair was so long.

I brushed my teeth and then put on a pair of my favorite high tops. I looked at myself in the mirror. I wouldn't say I looked terrible. I'd say I look pretty good.

I took a deep breath and close my eyes.

This is it. Once I walk out that door, it will be too late to back out.

My first day of school is here. I didn't know whether to be nervous or excited.

"Camila! Breakfast is ready. Are you awake?" Uncle Ben shouted from the kitchen.

"Yeah I'll be there in a minute!" I yelled back. I still needed one more thing. I walked over to my dresser and picked up my gold necklace. It was real gold. I know it isn't mine. My dad stole it. But he gave it to me as a present, and there is no way I will ever be giving this away.

I put it on then walked into the kitchen and was greeted by Uncle Ben.

"Hey Camila. You nervous?" He said and pulled out a chair for me to sit in. I sighed and sat down.

"A little," I admitted. I examined the food on my plate. Eggs and bacon. My favorite. I smiled and took a bite out of my eggs.

"It's okay to be nervous. Everyone is nervous on their first day of school. 5 or 15, everyone is nervous," he reassured me. I smiled at him. He always had a way to cheer me up.

"Well are you ready to go?" I asked after I finished my breakfast. He had to drive me there. I'm only 15. I can't get my drivers license. My dad doesn't even have one. He just drives around everywhere. I mean it's not like the police are going to arrest him for that. The police were already looking for him and he really had nothing to lose. But I think I'd be a pretty good driver considering my driving skills in GTA. I know I'd ace it easily. Then I could finally drive legally.

He took the last few bites of his eggs then wiped his face and nodded. I got up and walked into my room to get my bag. It was a plaid blue one shoulder bag. He already gotten my supplies before I got here.

I grabbed my bag quickly and walked into the kitchen where Uncle Ben was standing all ready to go.

"Ready?" he asked and I nodded. I followed him outside.

"KEVIN! TELL ME THAT DID NOT HAPPEN!" someone yelled from next door. I looked over and saw Devin and the guy I saw yesterday, who I'm guessing is named Kevin.
