Chapter 34

"Okay so how about we split up? You and Sky can go on whatever rides you want and Camila and I will go look for something," Kevin suggested standing by my side. I blushed at the fact that he to be alone with me.

Jonah gave me a panic look. I knew he didn't want to be alone with Sky but maybe this was for the better. Maybe she would tell Jonah on her own and then Kevin wouldn't know about me liking him.

"That's a good idea my g," I said and Jonah sighed and turned away while Sky dragged him down to a snack bar, which left Kevin and I alone. Yet again.

"So um, do you want to go ride something or...?" he asked trailing off.

"Um we could go to the arcade or something," I said and he grinned.

"I'll totally beat you in air hockey," he said with a smirk and I raised my eyebrows at him.

"Yeah let's not get too cocky there buddy," I stated with a sly smile on my face as I pushed past him towards the arcade building, "Aye where you going ma?" he said as he grabbed my wrist, making me slow down so we were walking side by side. My heart thumped inside my chest as his hand slowly glided down my wrist towards my hand and intertwined our fingers. My stomach did a mini flip inside my chest as I blushed. This wasn't the first time we held hands before but it still gave me butterflies.

We entered the arcade excitedly and I rushed him over to the air hockey table.

"Come on! I really wanna play this," I begged and he grinned at me sheepishly.

"Aight bett, lemme go get some tokens," he said and dropped my hand. My hand suddenly went cold. I awkwardly stuffed my hands in my pocket and leaned against the table.

"Camila! Hey!" a cheerful voice asked behind me and I whipped around to see Daniel. Oh no if Daniel sees Kevin with me...

"Ha oh um hey Daniel," I said giving him a small wave. He walked over to me and I sucked in a sharp breath looking around to make sure Kevin wasn't in sight.

"I'm here with Zach and Devin. You here alone?" he asked curiously and my heart shrunk inside my chest. Zach and Daniel are both here? This is only going to lead to trouble.

"I'm here with Kevin, Jonah, and Sky," I explained making sure to leave out the date part. He bit his lip and nodded, averting his eyes to the ground. I shifted uncomfortably.

"Ayee Daniel what are you doing here?" Kevin said trying to sound enthusiastic but I knew he was just as curious and worried as I was that he was here. He was his best friend and if he found out that this is a "double date" or whatever it was that we were on.

"I'm here with Zach and Devin. Well I better get back to them. See you guys later," he said and walked out. I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding and leaned against the back of the table. Kevin put two tokens in, concentrating. He squinted his eyes as he fit the coin inside the slot and stood up. He looked around and then leaned in closer to me.

"Hey please don't mention the term "double date" in front of Daniel, or Devin or Zach or anything, please," he begged and I nodded and gulped.

"I wasn't planning on it," I reassured him and he nodded and turned away.

"Well den, prepare to be beat shawty," he said slyly, a smirk rising on his face and I grinned at him.

"We'll see b, we'll see."

I went behind the table as he pulled out the hockey puck and set it down on the table. He pushed it towards me and we played 5 games straight, him winning every single one.
