Chapter three
During the weekend I had hung out with my brother Luke. He was barely ever around since his friends had gone out of town he was free, which I used to my advantage. We used to be so close yet time went on and we talked less and less to the point it was a hello and goodbye relationship; which saddened me.
"Scarbear!" Luke yelled from downstairs.
"Yes Lukeybear?" I yelled back laughing at our childhood nicknames.
"Get changed we're getting ice cream." He didn't even ask. But then again, who turns down ice cream. It had been forever since I went out for it since all of my friends thought it was to 'fattening'.
I quickly put on my black leggings and oversized jumper with my timberland boots. My hair was in a messy bun but I honestly couldn't be bothered trying to fix it.
"Let's go!" I cried running outside leaving Luke to catch up.
Once we were there I got banana ice cream and Luke got mint.
"Really?" he pointed out laughing. Ever since we were younger I had gotten banana flavoured ice cream and never anything else. In fact I once cried when our mum came home from Tesco with chocolate ice cream; long story short I made her go back to get ben and jerry's chunky monkey.
"Why would I want to change if I've already got a favourite?" I rose my eyebrow laughing.
Sunday flew by swiftly and before I knew it I was back at school.
"Hey girls" I said as I sat down at the steps with Becca and Emily along with some other girls who I had never bothered to really learn their names.
They all said hello and then I realised that Jenny wasn't there.
"Where's Jen?" I asked.
"Don't know I haven't seen her yet."
I whipped out my gold iPhone 6 and texted Jenny asking where she was.
JENNY: SORRY! I'M NOT FEELING WELLL SEE YOU TOMMOROW XOXO
"She's sick." I told everyone who was waiting for me to fill them in on Jenny's absence. Of course she had to be off on Monday when we had double chemistry together.
"We're going to class now," Becca said standing up and then looking at me, "want us to walk you to chemistry?"
"Don't worry I need to get my books from my lockers anyways." I groaned getting up. My locker was on the other side of the science labs.
"Aw okay, see you at break." She kissed the air and I sent the kiss back with a mwah sound.
Chemistry went painfully slowly without Jenny since I was alone. People offered to sit but I felt bad if they ditched their friend and then I ditched them the next lesson. I was about to fall asleep when I heard the chair next to me move and a familiar curly haired boy sit there.
His curls were messy and loose probably from him running his hands through them so much. His tie was loose and his shirts first three buttons undone. His sleeved were roughly rolled up and his battered blazer in his hand.
I eyed him questionably.
"I saw how bored you were." He whispered.
"And you thought that your company would entertain me?" I laughed softly.
"I know it, princess." He says getting closer once again.
Wow he must have no idea about this thing called personal space. On the other hand I hoped he never learnt about it and proceeded to stay so close to me that I could smell the mint chewing gum in his mouth.
