Chapter twenty-three

"Here you go." Harry handed over his five dollar bill to the lunch lady before picking up his tray and walking into the lunch room with me. "How come you never have to pay for your lunch?"

"Perks of being high school royalty." Jenny appeared from behind while one of the want-to-bes attempted to pick up my tray and take it to the table.

"Actually I was going to have lunch with Harry today, but thanks?" I smiled taking back my tray.

"This would be the fourth time this week." Jenny faux-smiled.

"Promise I'll sit with you tomorrow!" I said walking over to Harry's table.

"So what are we all talking about?" Harry smiled sitting down in between me and Teddy

"My birthday!" Teddy exclaimed clapping her hands before smirking at me, "Something small, you know, just friends."

"Well sign us up." Harry pecked my lips while Louis coughed 'whipped'.

Teddy sent me a taunting look. "You free tomorrow night?"

"I wish I was but I have dinner with Becca, Emily and Jenny."

"Can't you just blow them off? It is my birthday, you can meet with them any other day."

"Scarlett come on." Harry glared at me slightly.

"It's really hard to get in!" I defended myself. "We've been planning this for weeks."

"It's alright." Teddy sighed. "We all know how you plastics are like with anything exclusive!" she giggled before slapping her mouth shut.

"Plastics? As in mean girls seriously?" I asked Teddy. Real mature.

"Sorry it slipped! We're all so used to calling you that." She 'accidently' splurged.

"I just remembered! I forgot to print out my art homework." Standing up and speed walking to the girl's bathroom.

Opening the group chat between the girls and me, I wrote a text.

SCARLETT: CAN YOU MEET ME IN THE BATHROOM PLEASE?

Almost instantly Jenny and Becca replied.

JENNY: SORRY BB. HAVING LUNCH WITH FRIENDS.

BECCA: MAYBE TOMORROW?

Tears began to fall from my eyes as I threw my phone across the room.

"Dammit!" I screamed when I saw my phone was in pieces on the floor.

It was impossible to choose between Harry and my friends.
