Epilogue
I was so excited to see everybody. Seven years had passed since the accident and since then it was too difficult to see everybody so I distanced myself from everyone for a solid year; apart from Teddy and Joe of course. I slowly felt myself falling in love with him even though I never agreed to date him for a year since I felt like it would betray Harry. Once I had come to terms with his passing I realised that he wouldn't have wanted me to spend the rest of my life grieving over him.
Sandon High had a reunion night every three or four years and it was always great catching up with everyone. Each one of my friends were doing amazing things with their lives like Emily for example who couldn't make it tonight, due to fashion week, had gone to university majoring in fashion and is now a millionaire designer for Clubb's.
"Scarlett!" Jenny cried running over to me and embracing me in a hug, "I haven't seen you in a year!"
Truth be told, I hadn't spoken to anyone for a year since Joe and I decided to move to L.A to rebuild my parent's house. Last year when Joe proposed, my parents had given us the land to build our dream house as an engagement present. We always joked about how hard it would be to top that for a wedding gift.
"I know! You must visit us with the husband and the little one." I smiled at her pregnant belly. "Can I tell you a secret?" I smirked.
"Our kids our going to be the same age." I was pregnant but I hadn't told Joe yet because I didn't want to raise his hopes. Even though I already knew what the little one would be called; Harry.
"That's amazing!" Jenny exclaimed. "I'm moving to L.A so they can be best friends like us! Let me just tell the Mr!" She giggled running off.
Looking behind me I saw Joe talking to Jenny's husband and Becca's in a conversation about football, no doubt.
"Teddy! Becca!" I smiled hugging them both. "Hogging the buffet I see."
"Back off, I'm pregnant." Becca laughed. She was married with three kids already; it was safe to say her bitchy days were over and now she was the kindest woman I ever knew. Her first child was called Anastasia (which means reborn in Russian, she was named after the baby she lost that dreadful Christmas), the other boy was Charlie who was quite the trouble maker, and lastly the baby in her belly was called Emma if a girl or Ryan if a boy.
"I'm just always hungry." Teddy stuck her tongue at me. When Harry died I called her and we opened up to each other. She was the only one who understood the pain I was going through because she had lost her best friend.
She still had red hair, although now it was more of a natural red. Her husband was none other than my brother Luke and they were the happiest couple. I remember one night I sent her to get some popcorn only to find her making out with him the kitchen. Luke and Teddy were perfect together; they both thought they super hard core but on the inside they were baby puppies.
Losing Harry was the hardest thing I had ever had to do, and I know that I'll never be fully over him but I was happy now. As much a wished it were Harry making me happy right now, it was Joe and he was my soulmate. All I know was that Harry was my soulmate but fate took him and I was lucky enough to meet Joe; my second soulmate, my fiancé, my saviour from myself.
