Chapter twenty-six

"Hoped of a plane as L.A.X, with a dream and my cardigan!" Jenny pranced around singing while Becca and Emily took pictures. We had just arrived at L.A for Christmas. Luke had arrived a few days earlier in order to practise with the band and I think it was safe to say that Harry wouldn't be spending Christmas here. In fact I had no idea where he would be.

"Cheer up it's Christmas Eve Eve!" I laughed at Emily's remark as we piled into the taxi car. I told the driver my parents address and we arrived in half an hour.

"Mum! Dad!" I ran up to them and gave them both a hug. "The house looks even better in person"

"Get the bags please, Jeffery." Dad called to the butler before showing the girls and I to our rooms.

Despite my parents living here for years, I had never seen my bedroom apart from in pictures. It was two floors with little white stairs leading to the top floor; there was a white sofa and a fake plant. A small balcony outside with the view of the garden. Downstairs there was a white desk with silver legs and a mirror on top. My antique French wardrobe was next to it along with a chest of drawers. The double bed looked as comfy as a cloud with pink sheets and was placed in the centre of the room. A television was placed in front of it. It was beautiful.

"You got the best room." Luke sighed, "Mines as dump."

"Luke!" I ran up to him and gave him a hug. This year we had gotten a lot closer and it made me so happy.

"Only been gone for a few days, scarbear." He laughed returning the hug. I'm going to help dad with his barbeque and then watch Christmas movies. You up?"

"Sure, just let me unpack a little bit first." I smiled kissing his cheek.

Before I could relax I heard Jenny scream 'pool party' and that seemed exactly what I needed to do to get my mind of Harry. I left my phone on my bedside table and hopped into my bikini.

"Let's do races!" Ashton suggested.

"Yes! First one to swim to the other side with their feet in a crossed position!"

I won and Luke came last. It bothered Luke because ever since we were kids he had been viciously competitive.

"I have more weight to carry because I'm the tallest." Luke defended himself.

"Dude! I'm pregnant and I beat your sorry ass!" Becca retorted causing us all to laugh while she stroked her tummy smiling.

Dinner was served and I missed a home cooked meal since neither Luke nor I could cook.

"I have an announcement." Becca stood up, picking up her orange juice (since she couldn't drink champagne). "I'm keeping the baby, my aunt agreed to look after the baby until I was old enough and settled in a job."

"That's great!" My mum exclaimed hugging Becca.

"And I wanted to ask if you would be the godmother, Scarlett." I was shocked as I always thought it would be Emily, "this year, after everything I did to you, you never stooped to my level. And I would love if my baby would have that quality."

"Of course I would, I love you Becca." I cried a little bit hugging her tightly. "You hear that baby? I'm going to love you so much too."
