Hey Guys......I'm Tanisha.
This is my first story ever!! I'm really excited about this. Please ignore any silly mistakes. Please keep this book free of cuss words. I've been a follower of Wattpad since a long time but haven't had the courage to write anything so far.
P.S. I haven't been to Breckenridge so all that I've written here is solely research. Also, some places are purely fictional thus please refrain from comments like 'this is not a real place' or 'there is no such thing'.
Lastly, I hope you enjoy this story...."One Life, This Time!"

Standing in front of the mirror every morning gave me chills. Now, don't ask me if they're the good kind or bad, because I guess it varies? Though I've been in this small town for the past 8 years now, I still can't get used to waking up to such chilly mornings. Again, in a positive way or not, don't ask me. See, I have this habit of opening up the window beside my bed as soon as I wake up and as it fills the room with a cold breeze, it stirs up whatever little drowsiness I have left. However, there are rare exceptions where a little bit of sun peeps through and it's just the most beautiful feeling.
9 years of my life went by as my dad kept moving from one place to another due to his work. This has been the longest period of time that we've stayed in one place and actually felt the emotional attachment to call it 'Home'. I guess having the responsibility of 3 kids and having to move every 2 years or so can be quite tough. So, that took a toll on my mom after my younger brother, Aiden was born and they decided upon Breckenridge, Colorado.
Ever heard of it? If yes, then woohooo! If no, then I am not surprised.
It's a small town at the base of the Tenmile range, and even though it's pretty much self-contained other than the tourist-y attractions, getting a place for a 5 person family costs a fortune. However, since my dad is away most of the time, he saw it fit that we could stay in a place where everyone knew everyone. It snows here quite often and the cold seems to linger even on the milder nights. I don't complain though, I quite like the fuzzy clothes weather. My elder brother would love to say otherwise.
My eyes flutter toward our family picture hanging on my gallery wall. My family consists of five people in total. There is Edward Montgerald aka Papa, Veronica Montgerald aka Mom, Aaron David Montgerald aka my older brother, Aiden David Montgerald and I. A feeling of warmth embraces me as I take a look at my dad's face. I have loads of people to keep me company, while he's out there alone, but I still miss him. Being the only had earned the title of his favourite child.
My trails of thoughts were pulled back slightly due to the buzzing phone on my nightstand.
Incoming call Zee!
I glance at the clock, 7:06 am. I raise my eyebrows in appreciation, not bad for her.
I tap the green button and before I could even hold it up to my ear, I can hear her rambling.
"Luc! I finally convinced mom and promised her that I'll start saving from the next month, but I really need to get my hands on the purse we saw back at the trinket shop. I mean, c'mon it's vintage!"
My eyes widen a midge, Wow! She surely injected her dose of espresso this morning. I shake my head in amusement, Zelina Hope and her obsession of purses.
