A/N Sorry for the late update guys!!!! i got into trouble XD

CAROLINE

I sat in the car staring blankly on my house. Zayn opened the door and walked to my side since (unfortunately) he traded the motorcycle with a much more spacious black BMW. He figured it wasn’t safe to just go around driving in a motorcycle at night. So Mr. Bad Boy had a cautious side, I didn’t know if it was bad or made him more appealing. I smiled up at Zayn and walked with him to my front porch.

The evening was slowly coming to an end but each second I spent with him had been magical. Even the way he cast his eyes low in front of me seemed magical. The night seemed heightened like I was submerged in water my entire life and suddenly decided to come up for air. All of a sudden the sky seemed brighter, the moon seemed more alluring, and the stars, looked a little more illuminated.

“Zayn, I had a wonderful time, today. Thank you so much.” I said sincerely.

I’ve gone to dates a million times before but more often than not they would take me to some chichi place downtown, or go to museums, or even worse stare at arts all night. I was a big fan of art but going to museums for dates seemed like a too adult thing for someone my age. Zayn… was a refreshing change.

“Don’t worry about it, I had a pretty incredible night too.” He smiled coyly.

“I loved the part where you stood up and just sang that Frank Sinatra song.” I teased him. Despite himself Zayn blushed a little.

“Yeah, I don’t know what got into me. I don’t usually just go all rock star on someone.” His smile grew wider.

“And here I was thinking you’re experienced with wowing a crowd.” I joked again. I fished out my key from my purse and stared at it for a while not wanting the night to end.

“I hope I’ll see you again soon.” Zayn said.

“Not tomorrow though I have a doctor’s appointment.” I inserted the key in the keyhole and twisted it opening the door.

“A doctor’s appointment? Don’t you think I should be there with you?” Zayn raised an eyebrow at me.

“Zayn, I don’t want to bother you with this, beside I have Victoria to come with me.” I started to walk inside but Zayn stopped me by grabbing my elbow.

“Caroline, like it or not I’m here to stay.” Zayn’s voice was riddled with seriousness and his eyes were hard and taut as if challenging me to argue with him.

“Zayn, please, let’s just distance ourselves from each other okay?” I pleaded with him to understand. I couldn’t afford to let myself fall in love with someone, especially him.

“Why not? We’re creating a life here Caroline! In just a few weeks we’d be married! Distancing ourselves from each other seems unlikely.” He said. I shook my head and retracted my elbow from him.

“Fine, if you want to go that badly. I’ll text you the time and place, see you tomorrow.” I said void of emotion. A painful expression crossed Zayn features and he even flinched just a little bit at my words.

“No, forget it. It seems to me like you and Victoria can handle things on your own, besides I have a few things to do at the recording studio.” He said mimicking my earlier ice cold tone.

“Are you sure?” I raised my eyebrows at him. Zayn stayed quiet for a few minutes and suddenly looked up at me his eyes full of confusion as he stood outside my doorway.
