Victoria
Caroline fidgeted on her gown again and looked nervously at her flawless reflection. I really don’t get why she’s so insecure and afraid considering her beauty and her kindness it seems ridiculous for her to even compare herself to other women. Myself included. Uncle Max must’ve really messed her up I moved closer to her and placed two hands on each of her shoulders. It was time for a maid of honor intervention.
“You look absolutely dashing.” I mimicked her accent and smiled like a Cheshire cat. It always made her laugh and this time was no exception.
“You sound weird did you swallow a cat or something?” She smirked but turned away from her reflection. “As for the dashing part I don’t think that’s entirely true.” She said.
“Are you crazy or just blind?” I put a hand against my hip and thrust it lightly to the side.
“Both maybe, why?” She asked.
“Because you’re beautiful just look at yourself.” I gestured to the mirror and guided her eyes to her reflection. She smiled and the beautiful lady smiled back at her.
“What if Zayn bolts?” She whispered fear ringing clearly in her voice.
“Oh, honey Zayn loves you. You only have to let him love you.”I smiled at her.
“You’re right.” She sighed. A loud knock sounded on the door and I moved across the room to take it.
Now I’m the kind of person who didn’t believe in happily ever after maybe it was because of my colonial thinking or liberated American lifestyle but I scoffed at the idea of a white prince or a slow motion. But that was exactly what was happening to me. A boy about twenty something with short cropped hair stood behind the door smiling shyly at me. I couldn’t blink and I couldn’t even breathe it was as if he was holding a part of me and everything seemed to be moving in slow motion.
“Liam?” Caroline broke my reverie and I shook my head.
“Hi Caroline, and you must be?” Liam extended his hand to me.
“Victoria, Victoria Dagenham.” I shook his hand lightly still dumb founded by my earlier ordeal. He must think that I’m a complete and utter idiot.
“You must be a fan I’d be happy to take some pictures with you.” Just when you think you’ve found a guy and he has these gorgeous eyes and a soft smile that makes you swoon, he starts to open his mouth and says the most douche thing ever.
“Excuse me?” I gave him a horrified expression.
“You’re a fan of one direction right?” He raised his eyebrows cockily.
“Now you have ten seconds to tell Caroline here what you came to tell her before I throw you out and kick you in the nuts.” I glared at his surprised expression.
“Victoria? Please don’t scare the guests.” Caroline called after me. I whirled around and left the door open for that stupid Liam boy and plopped down on a nearby vinyl sofa.
“What did I do?” Liam raised his hands in defense.
“Don’t mind her, come in.” Caroline gestured for Liam to enter and he did.
“I thought I should drop by and give you a little something in behalf of the band.” He smiled widely.
“What is it?” Liam produced a blue box from behind him and offered it to Caroline. Caroline gingerly opened the box and smiled when she saw what was inside.
“What is it Care?” I crammed in next to her and saw… a plastic pigeon?
“Kevin!” Caroline exclaimed.
