Chapter Three

We geared up and headed straight to the balcony of the room. She also introduced me to sone parts of the gun and how it works and triggers  though i made her repeat it 10 times. I get it now already. Phew. Good thing patty was patient

Patty was well. The way i think about her, in such a short period of time. Well a short one!, we only just met today. And for me she's an okay person. I feel safe with her and comfortable

She hand me the gun with a silencer on. She said that this thing shoot with a silencer on. It won't sound a bit.

"What am i gonna do with it?" I asked in curiosity

"Well... im gonna teach you how to do far sight shooting" she said huh? Shooting?! Gulp. I wish i can take this easy.

Were in the balcony so the sick ones in the near top building were roaming there. There might be seven or six sick people roaming. Some were adults and some were teens. It was really near from this building and it was very clear. And she said i could really easily shoot them so i tried it

I took a deep breath and sighed. Wooh. Deep breaths icah. Deep breaths. Just concentrate and pull the trigger.

I raced my hand and shoot it ditectly to the sick person. Well it fell but i came standing up again.i dony really know why did they do that

  they don't die?. I asked myself. In my mind so confused why it did not die. I mean die again.

"You gotta shoot them in the head darling. Or lunge them through their lungs. That way they wont move again" she said answering the question in my mind

"Why only the lungs or head?" I said

"I think the virus controls their brain...but that's only a theory of mine. I think that's why they become like that is because their system gets corrupted by the virus and get through the head causing one to like to eat flesh and live whether or not it's skin decompose or rot" she said  wow. That was long, even if she wasn't sure of her theory. I think it made sense though. But i wasn't sure, more like 50:50

"Okay, i'll aim now for the head" i said and aimed my gun

I took a deep breath again. You can do this icah just trust yourself

I pulled the trigger and there, i saw latty smiled and pat me in the head. Oww.

"Good one yougin!, you did well! Hope you can take all the sick ones roaming there?" She said. Sounded like challenging me. I just gave her a nod and finished all the sick ones off so confidently

After our practice in shooting she said tommorow. We should better be off by here. Cause the more we linger here the more infected comes to the city 

We just ate canned tuna that was in my backpack. Yum. Although i craved for calamari. I had no choice but to enjoy it. It's a blessing in this type of enviroment now you know.

" your a fast learner though, i like that. When i was a begginer at shootin. I had to make three instructors resign. Hahahaha" she smiled at me and i chuckled to

"Well. I've been playing water guns and paint ball when i was a child  i think it helped me a teeny weeny bit" i said and continued eating the canned tuna. We were almost done with our meal.

After our meal we took turns using the bathroom. Gladly the waters not been turned off and is still usable. Did'nt care if it was hot or cold but i only carrd and imagined that this woulf be the last bath of my life. Who could take a bath on a fine day someday if a bunch of sick people come and bite you? Hahaha well. I would'nt take that dare. Haha

Whole day i didn't step out of the vuilding. I was astonished that i barely didn't step out of the house.

This was a new life. Starting now.

The night passed, we had a peacefull sleep with patty. And another day will come. A new objective comes to rise.

To get us to patty's group.

After we woke up. I changed my shorts into some light blue skinny jeans and some white V neck t shirt and i paired it up with my favorite leather boots. I braided my brownish blonde hair and put on my uncle jaye's gift from me  a wrist band.

From that moment on. That was the only thing i had kept from my beloved uncle. So far away . how is he doing? That lingere on my mind.

Patty gave her a gun with a silencer and extra bullets  she new that i had a knife with me if there were upcoming emergencies  i placed my gun in the bsck of my jeans.

"Ee gotta go now. We have to get to my group before sundown" she said quietly

I was not ready to leave this very room  i was scared. Who would not? But i'd rather go out and live with the company of patty . If i stayed here what am i gonna do? If i run out of food? Well. That was a good reason not to stay there.

Patty quietly opened the door and peeked through the sides. No one dared to make a sound. Patty signaled that it was clear so i picked up my backpack and followed her straight.

"Watch you back at all times dear  you don't know who's gonna jump out in the air" she said more like kidding but warning me. I felt goosebumps up my spine. But i just picked my knife in my jeans and armed it in my hand  ready to attack when something or anything touched my body

I swealed a little when there were two sick people on the hallway. Patty signaled me to keep quiet and i did. I hid in the pots of plants and what patty should do she did it like a pice of cake.

As i was watching her kill the two infected. I glance at my back and saw a infected coming right at me. I quickly held my knife tightly and aimed for the head. It's sound breaking a shell or i mean this infected's skull and blood rushing out if it's head. It's black  like so disgusting. I tried not to puke as much as i can but i already let it out now. Oh. I killed that infected already  yey.

"Just let it all out, i had that when i first killed an infected" she said. Trying to cheer me up...

"Oh yeah, why does their blood is black?" I asked. Already done with my puking

"Oh...i don't know about that, i think that came from that virus. But i'm not sure though" she said and get the knife from the head of the one i killed

"You better wipe off the blood stains cause it's really stinky ok?" She said as she gave the knife to me

I jist nod and get a tissue from my bag and directly wiped the infected blood from the knife.

"Gross" i said. And we begin slowly move on and use the stairs to reach the ground floor.
