Mina leans on you with her arm clutching her stomach as you stand breathless in front of the blue-eyed blonde who introduced himself as Mirio. He's one of UA's big three and he had just knocked out your entire class with one punch. If it hadn't been for you activating your air quirk at the last second to soften the blow, you'd be doubled over like most of your friends.

"As a kid, I was always falling behind. If I wanted to be at the top, I knew I couldn't just hope that my quirk would get stronger or that I'd eventually get control of it. I had to think. I learned and applied new combat decisions and tricks. But, most importantly, I taught myself how to accurately predict what would happen next. Now, the only way to gain those accurate predictions is through experience. Everything that has made me stronger has been because of what I've experienced." Mirio explains as he helps up a few of your fallen classmates.

"I know this was an indirect way of getting my point across, but that is why I wanted to fight you guys. Because, I've always found that experience teaches better than words do." Mirio moves to the front of your class, "When you go to your work studies, you will be treated like a sidekick or even a pro, unlike your internships where you were just guests. Being a pro is scary. You witness a lot, good and bad. But those experiences, painful or successful, are important lessons you can't be taught within a classroom. Applying every experience and letting it guide my power is how I got to the top. That is why I think those work studies are worth it, no matter how intimidating they can be!"

Your class stands watching Mirio in awe.
"Wow, he even gives pep talks like a pro." Ojiro says, clapping his hands.
You nod in agreement as everyone breaks into applause.
"I'm glad we'll be treated more professionally in our work studies." Kirishima admits.
Denki adds onto his friend's confession, "Yeah, same. I feel like I missed out on some things during our internships."
Iida steps up beside the two boys, "Now that we have our licenses, we'll be allowed to act like pros when we're on the scene."
Your heart thrums in excitement.

Aizawa steps forward to stand beside Mirio, "Alright, everyone. It's time to return to class. Say thank you."
You and everyone in class 1-A thank Mirio in unison.
The shy member of the Big Three whose name is Amajiki doesn't even face the class before walking away towards the exit. Hado, the last of the Big Three, who insists we call her Nejire, gives a bright smile before walking off with her two counterparts.

It's hard to focus on your classes the rest of the day. When you had all returned from the gym, Aizawa mentioned that work studies for first years still hasn't been confirmed but that there was a possibility your class would embark on them. At some point, Midnight and Mic come in to give their lectures on Modern Hero Art History and English, but your mind is racing through all the possibilities for your work study. It isn't until the bell rings that you snap out of your daydreams.

You swing your bag over your shoulder and join your classmates as you all walk back to your dorm building. On the way over, your friends buzz with excitement at the possibility of work studies. The enthusiastic chatter comes to an abrupt end as Iida opens the doors of the entrance and you are all met with a raging Bakugou. You swear his hair spikes up even more when he yells at the boys for not leaving their trash outside of their rooms for him to take out.

The girls laugh as the boys scramble to their rooms to take out their trash.
You and the rest of the girls plop down on the couch, too tired from the day to change out of your uniforms.
"Am I completely delusional for thinking I stood a chance against Mirio?" Mina asks, slouching into the green couch.
"No. I completely thought Amajiki was just talking a big game when he was telling Mirio to hold back so we wouldn't get hurt." You sigh.
"What the hell are you losers talking about?" Bakugou comes up behind where you sit, leaning against the back of the couch.
