Offroad POV

As Offroad as the table picking at his breakfast, he felt a weird sense of Déjà vu. His father was glaring at Daou, who was holding onto Offroad's hand as if he let go, he was going to combust. Ram was being scolded by Earth for glaring at Daou. Nettie was tense as well, but was giving her undivided attention to Veronica. Offroad squeezed Daou's hand before bringing it up to his mouth, planting a small kiss on the back of his hand. Offroad took a deep breath, knowing the chaos that was about to happen as he spoke.

"I think we are going to build a guest house on the property," Offroad spoke loudly.

"What?" His father asked, confused. "If you're divorcing, he can go somewhere else."

"Divorcing?!" Nettie gasped.

"Why would I divorce him father?" Offroad growled. "He is the father of my children," Offroad said, and it was Earth who reacted this time as his fork dropped to his plate. The driver had been found.

"I don't care what he is; he doesn't get to speak to you like that," his father growled.

"Like what?" Offroad asked. "What do you know other than the tail end of a heated argument?" Offroad asked once more, causing his father to just glare at him. "Besides, it's not up to you."

"Offroad,"

"Or you," Offroad said, interrupting Ram. "I may not have all my memories back, but I know something happened that caused everyone in this room to handle me with such care and gentleness that has put my husband in a position of bearing the burden of his feelings alone, and I will not have that anymore," Offroad shrugged.

"What did you say to him?" His father spat towards Daou.

"Nothing I-"

"This isn't his choice either," Offroad growled at his father. "It's mine. Besides, it won't happen overnight, but 5-6 months preferably, or this dinner table is going to be more crowded."

"What's that mean?" His father asked, confused.

"Oh!" Nettie exclaimed. "Ronnie, you're going to be a big sister!"

"What!?!" Both Ram and his father yelled.

"A big sister!?!" Veronica exclaimed happily.

"Are you out of your mind!?" His father yelled. "He nearly died the last time! Or do you also have amnesia!?!"

"I-"

"That wasn't his fault," Offroad spoke for Daou. "None of this is his fault. Why are you treating him like that?"

"Because he-"

"Saved me?" Offroad growled. "Stood there and had the strength for both of us when I didn't?"

"Offroad," His father sighed.

"If the next words out of your mouth aren't congratulating my mate and me, I won't be responsible for my words that follow," Offroad threatened his father, who raised his eyebrow at him. Offroad watched as his father sat back in his chair.

"Congratulations," he said with a tight smile.

"Thank you," Offroad said happily. "Today Daou will take me for a check-up and then to my office in town,"

"What about Veri?" Ram asked.

"We can have some nana and Venny time," Nettie smiled.

"Monday, she starts preschool," Offroad announced.

"What?" Came from everyone at the table.

"Changes are being made," Offroad shrugged. "Ronnie is going to go make friends her own age, and I get my husband back, Ram gets his back, and" Offroad turned to look at his father. "I guess you get to enjoy retirement, ay old man?"
