Chapter 43

Taylor's Pov

"Um..." Those are the the only words coming out of mouth.

"Don't you want to be Rebeca's boyfriend? Instead of her "friend". Rebeca isn't just going to stick around if you don't want to her something more." Mika say taking the money in her hands.

I avoid eye contact with her and process Mika's words. I don't why her words really got to me but they hit me like a ton of bricks.

"You stay around here while I go try to bail her out."

I just send Mika off with a nod, Hazel comes out of the car and places her hand on my shoulder but I don't react at all. Will Rebeca really leave after she said she wouldn't.

"Want talk about it?" Hazel ask in a uncertain tone.

I shake my head telling her no, I didn't hear anything from her but I feel a tug at arm pulling me walk. I look at Hazel pulling me to a sandwich shop. I sit at a table close to the exit while Hazel gets in line to get food.

I whip out my phone and see a beautiful face that makes my heart flutter and a smile appear on my lips. I feel a familiar type of feeling, a feeling I haven't felt since Hollie was in life. That feeling when you're just thinking about that one special person and a hurricane of emotions and happiness takes over your entire body.

When you just wan to grab them and never let them go. It's just so many emotions in you all the time it's hard to explain. With Hollie that feeling was strong but with Rebeca I can't even handle it. I wonder if Rebeca can ever feel the same for me. I lock my phone and see Hazel walking over to me with two sandwiches on a tray. I quickly take the sandwich into my hands and start digging in. We both stay in silence eating until Hazel starts talking.

"Do you love Rebeca?" Hazel's questions catches my attention, I place my sandwich down and answer truthfully.

"Yes I do."

"Be careful Taylor, when you're in a gang a lot of people and I mean a lot people aren't really fond of you. I know you know they don't care about anything except money and revenge. I don't want them to kill Rebeca that will just break you apart. Trust me I know what it feels like. Just be careful is all I'm trying to say." Hazel tells me things that I already know but some I don't know.

As I'm about to ask Hazel what happen when she was in the gang my phone lights up notifying I have a text message. I open the text message and read it.

From Unknown: Hey it's Mika, I just got Rebeca out. Where are you guys?

I quickly save then phone number and change the contact name.

To Mika: Okay good, we're at the sandwich shop we met up.

From Mika: Alright stay there we'll be there in a few.

"Who was that?" Hazel asks looking a little bit down.

"Mika, telling me she bailed Rebeca out. What's wrong?" I ask her focusing more on figuring out what's up with Hazel.

"Nothing just talking about the past brings back good memories and really bad memories." Hazel pushes her food away looking at the table instead of me.

"I get it, do you want to call mom cause she has some explaining to do the both of us." Hazel nods slightly smiling but not looking at me. I call my mom and put her on speaker.

"Hi baby, how are you?" My moms sweet voice says through the phone. Hazel looks up at me in awe listening to her voice.

"Hi mommy." Hazel shaky voice says.
