Getting it Out

A couple of weeks went by since Ellie and Dougie's first kiss. She had seen Dougie a couple of times since the kiss. Ellie loved spending time with Dougie, and when she wasn't with Dougie she was thinking about when she could see him again.

One day, Ellie walked into the recording studio, placed her lyrics on the stand and put her headphones on. She read over the lyrics, written just a few days ago at Dougie's house, and almost every line made her think about him. She was unaware that she had been staring at the lyrics for well over ten minutes until Joe's voice echoed through the speakers.

"Ellie are you ready yet?"

Ellie was startled and dropped the sheets of paper all over the floor. She saw Hannah through the studio glass laughing. Ellie rolled her eyes as she picked up the sheets and gave the thumbs up signal to Joe to start recording.

After about two hours of recording, Ellie hears the buzz of her phone from within hand bag and anxiously rummaged through it to see if it was Dougie. After frantically searching she ended tipping out her entire bag on the floor, she found her phone and it was a missed call from Dougie.

"Fuck" she said under her breath as she called him back, she hoped it wasn't anything important. She waited eagerly for him to pick up.

"Ellie!" said Doug as he answered.

"Hey Doug, errr what's up? Sorry I couldn't pick up, I couldn't find my phone." She said laughing to herself.

"I was just wondering... if you would like to stay the night round my house. I mean. If that's okay with you?" Dougie asked shyly.

Ellie could hear Danny in the background "Grow some balls Doug, just ask her out."

Ellie gasped and blushed and found herself unable to speak for a moment. She frowned as she realized if she went all the way to Dougie's house, she wouldn't make it to tomorrows recording session.

"Wait hang on Doug, can you stay the night at mine? It's just, I have another studio session tomorrow and I really can't be late again..."

"Yeah totally, that's fine err I'll see you at seven?"

"Okay seven round mine, you remember my address right?"

"Yep I do, alright see you then."

"Okay bye. Love you!" Ellie blurted out!

"Shit" Ellie covered her mouth. There was a small pause then Dougie hung up!

Dougie hangs up and freezes for a second, he didn't mean to suddenly hang up on her after she said that. He smiles then goes onto his messages and texts Ellie

'I love you too xxx'.

Ellie is on the other end panicking.

"Shit, Fuck what have I done?" She doesn't know what to do.

She then receives the text from Dougie. Ellie almost stops breathing and starts to blush again.

"He loves me too" She whispers to herself.

Dougie stands there staring at the text he just sent her, hoping that was the right thing to do. When suddenly,

"Hey Dougie" Tom shouts.

Dougie turns around and covers his phone "Yes! Sorry. What's happening?" says Dougie then looking for Tom.

"We're trying to have a band meeting here, and we kinda need you to be part of it because if you didn't know you're in the band too." Says Tom sarcastically.
