Chapter 39- Terminus

~Haley's P.O.V.~

The next morning we woke up to a loud clang. Which woke us both up. We turned to see the bright light shining in. I turned to see blood everywhere on the floor. My eyes widen. I could only imagine what they did. Daryl looked at me and nodded. We both stood up and saw the rest of the guys were getting ready to leave heading out. We all went one by one with us in the back. We walked out the doorway. We looked down to see it was Len. His body was bloody, beaten. And with an arrow in his eye. Holy shit, I looked in disgust. Daryl grabbed a cloth of blanket and spread it out about to put it on top of Len's corpse. I grabbed his arm and he looked at me. I simply shook my head. He knew what I was telling him. He don't deserve this, not after everything he's done. Daryl just threw the blanket and grabbed my hand as we walked. We kept walking through the woods, and now the fields

"You alright?" He asked

I nodded my head "Gotta be"

He raised my hand and kissed it before we kept walking. Soon Joe slowed down and walked next to us. We approached the rest of the guys on the railroad track when they stopped. One guy had the gun resting on his shoulder and he was looking at a sign

"Getting closer" He said

We approached the sign and it read Terminus. Wait I've seen this before

"You seen this before?" Daryl asked Joe

"Oh yea, I'll tell you what it is. It's a lie. Ain't no sanctuary for all. Ain't gonna welcome guys like you, her and me with open arms" Joe said walking passed us

Me and Daryl stared at it until we kept walking

"Glenn" I whispered

"What?" He asked looking at me

"We saw this sign on the railroad tracks too. Maggie wrote on it, for Glenn to go to Terminus. Sasha and Bob were with her" I explained

We walked faster until we approached Joe

"So is that where were headed?" Daryl asked

"So now your asking?" Joe asked

"That's right" I said

"Someone was hiding in a house where we were minding our own business. They killed our friend Lou. He came at all of us. We tracked him to these tracks, saw one of the signs, and that's how we got the destination in mind" Joe explained

I noticed one of the guys in front stop and look down at the tracks. I saw and noticed it was little tomatoes

"Claimed" I said walking to them and grabbing it. The guy just looked at me and walked away

I walked back next to Daryl and smiled. We kept walking, but this time we didn't stop to take a break, we simply kept on walking, and walking. My knees and whole body was just aching with pain. But I was mainly used to it already, it rarely hurt as much anymore. Nightfall came and somehow I noticed the guys up front begin to slow down and quiet down. Soon they disappeared

"Baby what's wrong?" He asked as we both stopped walking and turned to each other "Your not yourself"

I sighed "I know. I know these type of guys, basically grew up with those type so I'm just not comfortable at all"

I grabbed her hand "I know that. But were not staying with them forever"

"Do you think we will find Glenn and Maggie at Terminus?" I asked

"Hopefully them. And hopefully the others" He said

I nodded. Gosh I love this guy, his voice soothes me and calms me down so much. He kissed my forehead right when we heard some talking

"Come on" Daryl said grabbing my hand and jogging. We ended up on the road with some cars. Then my eyes widen when I noticed who it was. Rick, Michonne, and Carl. Joe had a gun to Rick's head and Michonne. Oh god

"Joe" I said when we made it to there they were

"Hold up" Daryl said

"Your stopping me on eight Haley and Daryl" Joe said

"Come on just hold up" I said as we got closer

"This is the guy that killed Lou, so we got nothing to talk about" One of the men pointing the gun at them said

"You know the thing about nowadays is we got nothing but time. Say what you both gotta say" Joe said

"These people, your gonna let 'em go" I said

"These are good people" Daryl said

"Now, you see I think Lou would disagree with you on that. I of course have to speak for him cause your friend here strangled him in a bathroom" Joe said

We all stayed silent, all you could hear were crickets. That was until I spoke

"You want blood. I get it" I said I dropped my bow. Grabbed my arrows from my back and dropped them. I looked at Daryl then back at Joe "Take it from me"

Daryl instantly reacted "No. Take it from me, come on. Leave her alone" He said as he got in front of me protecting me

"You know Haley and Daryl I really thought we were friends for a second. But tell you what, you two say these are good people, but that's a lie" Joe said

One of the guys hit me in the stomach with the back of the gun and I grunted as I went down

"No!" I heard Daryl scream before I heard another body hit the ground and they began pounding on both me and Daryl.

"Teach them fellas, teach them all the way" Joe said as he smirked

Teach them all the way means to kill us. These guys just wouldn't stop it's no use trying to fight back. I couldn't even get up. I heard muttering from Rick and the others but I couldn't quiet here much with all the beating I was getting. I tried looking around but the best I could do was looking at Daryl. They picked me up and threw me against the truck. The beatings just gave me flashbacks of the time I got beaten. And everytime I thought about it. Expecially now just made me weaker. They beat me and beat me until my whole body was going so numb. I began to black out when I heard a muffled gunshot. And that was the last I heard before I blacked out.
