Chapter 27- Please come back

~Haley's P.O.V~

"What's going on?" Carol asked as Rick stood in front of the table

"It turns out we do need to go on another run" Rick said

"You got it. I saw a store we can hit up, get new supplies" Daryl spoke up

Rick nodded "You, Michonne, Glenn, Sasha and choose couple other people to go"

Daryl nodded and everyone walked out. What the hell? Why not me? I followed Rick who walked outside towards the garden area

"Rick" I called out as he stopped and I approached him "What the hell was that?"

"What was what?" He asked putting his hands on his hips

"What about me? I need to go on that run"

He shook his head "We're shorthanded right now. And I need you here, keeping an eye in things"

"An eye on what? Making sure I read the kids a short story about SpongeBob? Rick I always go on a run with Daryl"

He sighed "I just need you here okay? End of discussion"

He turned his back and walked away. I kicked the dirt "Damn!"

I walked over to Daryl and the rest who were packing the car. I noticed Zach talking to Beth. I figured out last week that they are a couple.

"Well are you gonna say goodbye?" Zach called out as Beth began walking away

"Nope" She smiled

"It's like a damn romance novel" Daryl made the comment

I approached them "And that makes us?"

"Oh that don't matter baby your my girl" Daryl said grabbing me by the waist and pecking my lips

I chuckled as Zach laughed and walked away

"What happened?" He asked

I shook my head

"Tell me"

I sighed "Rick's not letting me go"

"What why?"

"I don't know something about were shorthanded and me needed to keep on eye on things here" I said rolling my eyes

"Hey don't be upset" He said grabbing my face from one side

I looked down "I know, but I always go on a run with you, always"

"I know baby, but I will be back"

I nodded "Just becareful"

He kissed my forehead "Always"

"Just another damn romance novel" I said walking away mimicking what he said

I walked up to Patrick who was finishing serving breakfast

"Hey squirt" I said
