date

luke decided to go to michael's apartment while he was at work so he could set up a cute dinner for him and luke. it's the least he could do since he had basically been ditching hhis boyfriend for someone else.

he stopped at the grocery store on the way to michael's. he grabbed bags of chips and lollies then made his way to the movie section. he picked out a couple of movies, including one michael's favourites, how to train you dragon. luke thought it was funny that michael loved a children's movie. luke lined up at the checkout and waited until it was his turn to buy his items.

once luke got to the front of the line the cashier asked how his day was. "good thanks" he smiled
"so, you got a girlfriend" the cashier asked flirtatiously. luke cringed at her poor pick up line and replied with
"no actually, i don't. my boyfriend probably wouldn't like that" the cashier scratched the back of her neck and laughed awkwardly
"well, uh that'll be $18.65" luke handed her a $20 bill
"keep the change" he said before grabbing the bag of items and leaving.

luke pulled up at michael's place, thanking god that michael had an extra long shift today which gave him time to set up the date. luke set the bag if items down on the kitchen bench and made his way over to the small dining table. he moved it out to the balcony, which was only across the room from the dining room. luke was glad that michael had set up fairy lights on the balcony, it helped set the mood as they were not too bright and not too dark.

the tall blonde decided that chinese food would be good as they both loved chinese food. he ordered their favourite meals and made sure that they'd deliver the food before michael got home. luke set up speakers outside near the table and softly played the playlist the two boys had created that mainly consisted of blink 182 and twenty one pilots. 

everything was ready, luke just waited for the food to arrive. as if on queue, someone knocked on the door. luke smiled to himself and rushed to the door, bumping his shoulder on a corner on the way there. he thanked the man and gave him a tip then shut the door. luke placed all of the onto plates instead of keeping them in the containers, he carried them out to the table and placed them down.

luke smiled proudly at what he had done, he knew michael would love it. he heard the door unlocked, signalling that michael was home. luke rushed and turned all the lights off then hid outside near the table that held all of the food. luke heard michael cuss to himself when he dropped his keys on his way to the light switch. he watched as michael made his way to the kitchen where luke had left a note for him. michael picked up the note and smiled as he read it.

dear my amazing boyfriend,

i'm sorry i haven't been spending much time with you baby. you know i love you, i just wanted to make more friends.

i've set up a little something out on the balcony if you want to make your way out there

love from your stupid boyfriend,
luke xx

"luke?" michael said as he made his way to the balcony door. he looked to his left where the dining table would usually be.

luke heard the balcony door slowly slide open as he quickly stood up and smiled nervously, hoping michael would like what he'd done.

michael gasped in awe as he saw what luke had set up. he looked luke in the eyes ((a.n. fml tear in my heart came on when i started writing this im emoTIONAL NOW BC THIS IS MUKES SONG)) and smiled sweetly
"luke, did you do all this" he asked softly as he walked over to his lanky boyfriend
"yeah" luke breathed out and smiled "do you like it" he asked nervously. michael didn't reply, he just jumped into luke's arms. he kissed up lukes neck and cheek, making his way to his lips, pecking them softly.
"i'll take that as a yes" luke chuckled before grabbing michael's face and smashing his lips into his. the two boys smiled into the kiss, happy to be finally spending time with each other.

they pulled away, panting. "i love you so much. i'm sorry for being a jerk and not spending time with you. i swear it'll never happen again" luke said quickly
"i love you too, idiot. it better not" michael laughed "now let's eat this food before it goes cold" luke laughed loudly and nodded his head in agreement.

this is the longest chapter yet, it was 800 words lmaooo
