michael tested out his crutches as he stood up shakily. he got up triumphantly and smiled widely. "i did this for you, lukey." his eyes watered and he let out a shaky breath.
luke got teary-eyed and smiled proudly at michael. "i'm so so proud of you mikey." luke let out breathlessly and pulled michael in for a bone-crushing hug.
michael grunted and laughed quietly, "slow down there, lukey. this is only the first step of this long journey."
luke smiled up at michael and kissed him softly. "i'll be with you for all of the way, mikey."
michael felt a sense of relief fill his body and vowed that as soon as he could, he would get down on one knee and make luke his forever.
