After that kiss, nothing was official.
No "girlfriend."
No public announcement.
No dramatic confession.
But Jennie?
Jennie Kim moved like she had already claimed her territory.
She became clingy.
Not subtle clingy.
Not soft clingy.
Extra clingy.
The kind where she would casually wrap her arms around Jisoo's waist in the hallway like it was the most natural thing in the world. The kind where she'd lean in to whisper something unnecessary just to feel Jisoo's breath hitch. The kind where she'd press random kisses to Jisoo's cheek, jaw, temple — anywhere she could reach — even if half the campus was watching.
And Jisoo?
Jisoo was shy.
Not rejecting.
Not uncomfortable.
Just... shy.
Her ears would turn red first. Then her neck. Then she'd look around like someone might file a public display of affection complaint.
"Jendeukie," she'd whisper lowly, trying to sound stern but failing miserably, "we're in public."
Jennie would just grin.
"I know."
And then kiss her again.
—
Their courses were different.
Jennie was in the fashion faculty — dramatic, artistic, chaotic, full of mood boards and fabric swatches and students who dressed like runway models at 9AM lectures.
Jisoo was in computer science — quiet labs, glowing screens, caffeine-fueled all-nighters, and people who argued about code like it was religion.
They didn't share classes.
Which made Jennie worse.
After class, without fail, her FaceTime would pop up on Jisoo's screen.
📱 Incoming: Jendeukie
Jisoo would answer immediately, of course.
"Pick me up," Jennie would say without greeting.
"You're literally across campus."
"And?"
"You can walk."
"I could," Jennie would reply thoughtfully. "But I don't want to."
And that was it.
Jisoo would pack up her laptop and go.
Other days, Jennie wouldn't even call.
She'd just show up outside the computer science lab, leaning against the wall dramatically, pretending to scroll through her phone but clearly waiting.
The moment Jisoo walked out?
Jennie's whole face would light up like she had just spotted treasure.
"You done?"
"You've been here long?"
"No," Jennie lied immediately. She'd been there twenty minutes.
They were still roommates.
Same dorm.
Same bed, technically, because Jennie had slowly migrated from her own side to Jisoo's over the semester.
And that made everything worse.
